In a road rage incident, I was called a Gook and told to go back to my own country.
By the cops?
We all discriminate people based on race, gender, religion, etc. First impressions are always based on what we see. It's human nature. You can't change that. You can't read a person's mind. The problem is when you don't want to budge and adjust your view of a person because of personal biased against that person's race, gender, religion, etc. As for personal services (i.e. escorting), it's 100% fine to discriminate - TERBITES do it so why can't providers? She doesn't cater to black, asian, hispanic, indian, etc. then just go find one that does. There's a lot of escorts out there.

Racism is something I see/experience every day. Sometimes it's overt, like clients favoring and hiring only professionals and consultants who are just like them (be it wasp, Jewish, Italian, Korean, etc). Sometimes it's more discrete.

it doesn't bother me. I perform the best and let e results speak for themselves. I don't make a point of keeping score. My friends are my friends. I have no time for dumb shit

I agree with the above, but before you can call something "racism" you need to define the difference between "racism" and "discrimination".

This is a topic I am very interested in, but i have to do some research before replying.

I believe that in our daily lives we all have to made decisions, and those decisions are based on some form of discrimination.

Only experienced racism on here. Anywhere online it brings out the worst society has to offer, white grievance comments that people would never say offline or they risk being ridiculed by people who have it harder. It's fun to watch.

No black guys thing I don't mind, the common trend is that most of these SPs are either being pimped out, have mediocre service level, or don't want to meet somebody in their community.

And in general, you'd want to meet somebody who'd be happy to see you. And of course, the only colour that they would see is Green. Or whichever colour Canadian money is these days, sometimes it's purple, pink, like monopoly money.

Relatively speaking they have had their "rights" eroded severely over the past 50 years. Any of us would be feeling....
Yes, us poor straight white males. We are no longer treated way, way better than everyone else. We have to settle for being treated way better.

This is why I laugh every time I hear about how diverse Canada is...
If the chart was based on countries of origin and not lumping so many under 'Caucasian', it would be a lot different. Toronto alone has over 30 distinct societies/cultures and most here embrace the differences and don't demand you be like one of us.

Considering that I belong to the group with least rights here in Canada, white straight males, ya really have to ask?
I dont agree that we have the least rights but I do agree that its harder for white males than it used to be.

But white males get privilege too. Most of the time I dont think we even notice that we get it. I know being a white guy helped me land a job, but I needed it and wasn't going to turn it down. I met a new neighbor once who was glad I was white, he told me only f***ing ******'s looked at the place - and he was black! I wonder how many other times I got privilege and didn't even notice it?

Racism is discrimination based on race.

i don't have a problem with profiling. We all do it. It's like "judging". I laugh when ppl say that they don't judge. Judging is simply holding someone or something up to predetermined expectations. We all do it, even those who say they don't. The real question is whether you respect differences and the choices made by others even if they don't hold up to your expectations.

Hence, I am ok with racial profiling. The fact is, culture plays an important part in forming our behaviour, habits, values, etc. My problem is when profiling becomes a basis for discrimination, or a lack of respect for others.
