How do you apologize to an Ex that you have really hurt?

Do I let it go and not say anything... or do I make the effort and say it?

Pretty simple
you start with I know you have every reason to hate me and I won't blame you if you tell me to STFU and leave

Facing a firing squad seems a lot easier....
untill you humble yourself before yourself you will never be able to humble yourself before others.

Just write a letter and send it.

State that you are writing the letter because you don't want to hurt them further.
don't forget to add chicken-shit to sewe them

I just think writing an email is a probably a quick way of doing it. In person - harder for both of us, however, perhaps better for both of us.

I'll just have to have a few drink before!

If you hurt them that much chances are they don't want to see you.
Emailing a letter is a bullshit cop out.
Write a PROPER letter.
then dont send it.
you arent doing it for them - you are doing it for your own reasons.

Why would I waste my time writing a letter and NOT send it?

I think it would answer a lot of questions my Ex has and perhaps answer a few of my own.

Unless this is 'making ammends' as part of a 12 step program, forget about it. Your ex doesn't want to hear what you have to say and it likely won't make a difference to them.

I think some sort of an apology is necessary... whether it is written or verbal.

How they react to it... is another topic, but at least I tried in the end... and it is their choice if they want to hear it.

I don't think having dinner together will go over very well.

If you have EVER apologized for messing up... how did it go?

Depends on what the messup was and who I was dealing with. Sometimes it went well and sometimes it didn't.

The fact that you have to ask what to do says much about your character.

You screwed up and hurt your ex. You need to apologize. It is completely irrelevant that you are unhappy/scared about having to do so. You should have thought about that before you did whatever you did wrong.

Face to face apology is best. Sending an email is a cop-out.

Why bother with an apology??? It just shows weakness

I doubt that at this stage eating out her asshole will help!!
(but i like the way you're thinking!!):p

If it were only THAT easy!
Then again, she always enjoyed being on the menu!

I guess it will have to be face to face... I'll bring wine.

Better get one of the new "juice box" style of packaging, it'll hurt less if she clocks you with it. :)
