How addictive is this hobby for you? Is it getting worse?

I suspect many of us are addicted to this.. The answer isn't easy.

I find that when i'm stressed, its a good relief, but I'm not addicted to it at all. I'll go months and months and at times more than a year without hiring a provider. When I find myself stressed from work, or in the past when I was stressed from a sexless marriage, then its a nice escape to share some time with a lady. When I decide to partake, I don't spend much time researching or planning. I just shoot of a text and see if my schedule lines up with a lady and off I go. For some reason, I enjoy the board activity, and will continue to hang around here even when I'm not that active with the ladies. Ideally, I'd just like to meet someone special in my personal life.

I think this is a great hobby and at times I worry if I am addicted to it. The attractiveness of being someone totally different and uninhibited is part of the allure for me. I love being with beautiful sexy women and the fact that you get to meet so many of them...well ya ok it's addictive!!:eyebrows:

I got sick after the first try so I guess it's not addicting for me. Kinda like drinking too much that first time and puking.

I started a few months ago, and was really into it. Nowadays, though, the allure has faded quite a bit. I find that I need to force myself to be interested in it, which ultimately leaves me doing something else to spend my time and money.

I see 4-5 SPs and MAs a week, and have an active sex life with my SO. It's healthy, I deserve it. I don't overbrain it.

Freedom is something that dies unless it's used.

If you read a bunch of addition stuff, you'll notice a common theme with addicts is they tell themselves they deserve it, there's justification, I work hard, I deserve it, I am a perfect person, I am allowed a little vice, it's better than so and so.

I find the hunt for SPs is time consuming, and if you measure the amount of time it's huge, between browsing, research, booking, shower/prep, going, cumming*least amount of time*, going back to wherever. I guess it's lots less if you're not too picky, but for me I need to be attracted.

For me it's cutting into work time, or personal life with my SO or other activities.

If it was easy like, goto a website, browse, see reviews beside photo, see schedule, prebook/prepay, and you're in, hit the showers, then meet the girl, fun and out. That would superb. Cutting it down to min time expended. Sadly Cons about to ruin the possibility of this happening for a long time.

Anyways, the reality is based on the frequency many here are describing, between forums, research, time in transit, financial cost, health risk. vs mostly disappointment with occasional great fun. Is poor risk reward ratio, and pretty unhealthy.

I'm somewhat disenchanted with sp's at the moment, vast majority for me is a not so stellar experience, with some gems.. who don't stick around or disappear from the biz.. resulting in hunting again.

Classic example of over braining it. You've got three redundant paragraphs in your post all listing what seem to you to be all of the tedious and stressful steps involved in arranging an appointment. For a lot of hobbyists it's nothing like that, a simple search a text or an email and it's done. Not denying your feelings they are what they are but I'd venture a lot of guys have no personal issues with hobbying and can compartmentalize things in their lives and have very fulfilling and easygoing lives.

Kinda reminds me of someone finding out they've won the lottery and worrying themselves sick because they don't know where to spend it
