Like I said earlier in this thread, we are being eased into poverty.

You guys are waiting for a Market Correction to happen, but it will never come. It's like living in Venezuela and waiting for correction.
I think rents have dropped 20% in Toronto especially downtown!

Listing are through the roof. Should be a interesting fall. We'll see what happens.

I'm actually planning to retire in a foreign country outside Canada. I have found that many foreign countries are much more value to live in and my DOLLARS go further.

In the past, when I traveled to Cambodia, Lao, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia and even Singapore, my dollars went much further than in Canada. For example, I got a 2-hour full body massage (WITHOUT HAPPY ENDING... LOL) in Cambodia and Thailand for about CAD 20.

So I don't really care much on how much the real estate prices in Canada are shooting up into the atmosphere. I also have a real estate property in Canada which I intend to sell when I will be retired. I also invest in a couple real estate properties in a foreign country where my Canadian dollars go much further and collecting rents from those foreign country.

In my past experience when traveling to foreign countries in Asia, I got laid very easily for much less money than in Canada. Sometimes, the Asian women liked me so much and gave me her pussies for free LOL.

Tips: When I traveled in Asia, I dressed well much more than I'm in Canada. It seemed that Asian women like men who dressed well. That may be one of the reasons of me getting free pussies in Asia.

It is all good until you will need to go (or be taken) to a hospital for something more complicated then a broken leg

At which point he can jump on a plane and come back. Depending on your province of residence, you may need to wait a few months for your provincial health care to activate, that is if they know (you tell them) you’ve been out of the country.

Also, you can collect OAS and CPP and live abroad. I believe that even a permanent resident, a foreign non citizen, can also collect these benefits if they spent 20 years working in Canada.

People would be shocked if they knew how much money was flowing out of Canada every month to India, China and the Philippines.

You don’t hear much about it. People would be furious to know half of these things.

I remember the big stink when someone found out that Clifford Olson was collecting OAS or whatever it was, while incarcerated.

Canada is a freaking gong show. Stupid people have been running this country for a very long, long time.

You can fight against it, get called a bigot, racist, etc, or you can just say fuck it. I’m getting mine.

Conduct yourself accordingly.

You'll lose a hefty chunck of your pension if you decide to live outside of Canada. That's how they trap us in. LOL

Do your research first before making the move. I believe if you stay abroad for over 6 months they begin to lower it, by a lot.

But the way things are going. It still maybe a better option.

Don’t know where you’re getting your info, you will not lose any of your CPP or OAS benefits if you leave Canada. As well your workplace pension will not be touched. The big issue is whether the country you move to has a tax treaty with Canada, if not there is a 25% withholding tax taken off before your money is sent abroad. Other than the withholding tax your pension money will not be reduced. If the country you’re moving to has a tax treaty with Canada then nothing will be deducted and you will receive your full pension payments.

Do you think there aren't wealthy people in foreign nations? There is good healthcare in several nations. Thailand has become a medical tourism place for USA expats. Especially for things like hip replacement and such.

You do have to do some research and live in certain places. But the price difference is worth it to many.

In reality - if You compare GTA to any other “world class” city in NA - Vancouver, Chicago, NYC, Boston, LA , Miami - Toronto is cheaper still. Personally don’t see any downturn coming when 250K people come toCanada (normal year) and 75% settle in GTA.

Now our CROOK PM - Hmmm...... not a few years ago he and his Gov came out saying small business is the “scourge” of Canada - they were targeting small business - oh but not in Quebec. Don’t get me started on that shit - QB Gov gives breaks to business so they do not have realistic overheads - they send them out to take business in other provinces and bring money back to Quebec. But if your a business owner in Ontario for example - you basically work for the Gov.
Listen to this crook PM now though that there is NO MANUFACTURING left in Canada to speak of. Oh he apparently feels small business is the backbone of Canada - F$&@ IDIOT. Well the goody ass kids that voted for him - Y’all got what you paid for.
I digress - sorry :) BUY LAND - they ain't makin more of it :)

There is a big downturn to this. Mass over population, bigger traffic jams, house prices going sky high, rents going sky high. You already seen the result of mass immigration to Toronto rents now are $2000 there. Thanks to politicians with their globalist agenda and Trudope is the worst. He is clearly a socialist and a globalist. He will bring this country down with his mad ideas.

Yes - it’s crazy what people pay for rent in the core for 500/600 sq ft.
Developers with dough (their own dough - not the banks dough) are doing rental buildings rather than condo - this trend is growing and it’s scary.
Never mind being able to afford to buy a condo - in time try to find one - this will drive prices up even more.
The Dumb Ass (Justin) is just pulling the same shit his old man pulled.

And then find one that isn’t full of problems and falling apart while the “building operator” tells you the builder is responsible and you end up living in an unaffordable piece of shit that you can’t rent or sell.

You basically confirmed what I said though. You just said it in a nicer tone.

Yup - it should be against the law - these Developers beat every trade / supplier down so much - buyers pay through the roof for in reality a “nice looking” piece of shit - cheap - only looks nice for a couple if years. I was in one a short time ago $550k for 650 SF - base board and trim was basically particle board painted white - kitchen was already de-laminating.
It’s unfortunate - but as long as people buy them - they will build them at that poor quality.

In third-word countries everything is either very cheap or very expensive. Same with healthcare: cheap regular or very expensive if you want it to be good. $100K a year is not enough to buy good things in these countries. And jumping on the plane may be too late if you have a heart attack and do not own your own hospital. Yes, standard non-urgent medical care - no problem. Heart attack or kidney failure - you may be out of luck.

You may want to do a bit more research. Thailand as an example.

I actually agree with that assessment. Having money is critical if you want anything resembling 1st world care in the 3rd world.

As for Thailand, Bumrumgrad, the famous expat medical tourist hospital, isn’t really “cheap”. Same with St. Luke’s or Makati Medical Centre in Manila.

There are lower tier alternatives that are still out of reach for most locals, that may be more bank account friendly.

Lots of Americans go to Mexico to get medical care as well.

There are some extremely wealthy people in those countries.

Having lived in Asia for several years, I would caution any foreigner thinking they’ll go over there and live like royalty on a shoestring budget...it’s not going to happen.

You will pay for western comforts. You do not want to go to the Philippines, for example, and struggle to make ends meet. You won’t enjoy that life.
