Modern medicine and the social welfare net in the First World has led to entire generations of people that could barely cope with basic living, to not only survive but procreate en masse. We're several generations deep of welfare bums having dozens of kids living off the government dole.

It's no wonder that the number of mentally ill and homeless populations are skyrocketing.

What did you think was going to happen to all those kids born to lazy drunken addicts that you looked down on when you were in school? Remember them dropping out of school because they couldn't learn basic reading and math, and getting pregnant at 15?

Once again, the the road to Hell is paved with good intentions.

There are actual studies of twins and how they deviate onto different paths. When time permits, I'll do more research rather than rely solely on memory. I'm really busy now doing my mall cop job.

There are also studies of brothers/sisters separated at birth and how their lives differ or not.

1. Death by firing squad for drug dealers of controlled substances.
2. A three year incarceration for those found in possession of controlled substances with mandatory substance abuse therapy,
3. Increased public and international shaming of China and Mexico for supply and peddling fentanyl components.

I met people who have gotten out of poverty. They became poor for various reasons. None of them because of drugs.

Bloodletting was a practice used by humans for thousands of years to prevent and cure illnesses.

We now know that this was a terrible way to treat illnesses, and we've developed better methods.

The problem (i.e. illnesses) still exist, but we have different methods of treating them (medicine).

Likewise we can learn from mistakes of the past or poor ways of treating problems to develop better ones.

The growing homeless and mental illness problem won't be solved by allowing for more tent cities to spring up or by ceding more territory to junkies.

These current methods are failing on an epic level. Doing more of the same is not a solution.

Are you actually interested in solving these problems?
