The United States is insane. It's really that simple. I used to chuckle when people said that the US was heading for another civil war. A cultural civil war. Now, I'm not so sure that something so insane might not actually happen.
It's become a giant crazy show and it only seems to be getting worse. The days of the evening news with Walter Cronkite and Peter Jennings are gone and they are not coming back. Replaced with sensationalism and escalation of the rhetoric on both sides.
CNN and all the others have become political entertainment, not news. Lemon makes his living off of being controversial.
I watch CNN for a while and then flip to the CBC or CTV because Canadian broadcasters actually still do the news. Thank god I live in Canada.
