I looked on Terb to see if anyone have ever been to their Highschool Reunion for their experiences but haven't found any info.

So I am curious to know how many people here have been to their HS Reunion?
if so how long after graduation was the reunion?
Was anything stupid said when you bumped into people you used to know?
Do you wish you haven't gone to the reunion?
Were you looking for that someone to see if they are in this hobby because they looked like they would be?

Mine is coming up and none of my cousins ( some of us went to the same HS by accident) haven't informed me of the reunion. I drove by and saw the sign.
SO Iam just comteplatiing
Should I go or Not?

Is it a real reunion (ie. for your grad year) or a reunion for every year? I haven't seen too much of the US style reunions in Canada (well Toronto at least) - not that I'd want to go to mine. I get together with some high school friends about once a year and that's more than enough.

Umm not a chance High school was not a very plesant part of my life and a chapter I would rather tear out and throw away. There is no desire
to connect with those of a by gone time.

It's funny how this thread just popped up; I've just finished watching Romy and Michele's High School Reunion.

In any case, I went to two different high schools; a private one in Oakville, and a public one in Etobicoke. I would go to a reunion held by my private school, but I have no desire to see the numbnuts from the other school.

Cheers

Screw the reunion, just go on facebook. I have found tons of old HS friends that way.
I agree on the Facebook part. I've been able to communicate with a lot of people from Facebook that I may not have run into otherwise. This way you can at least set up an informal get-together with the ones you want. Just do a search of your old school because chances are someone from your class has already set up a group from your grad year.

My reunion was fantastic. People generally mature, and aren't as rough around the edges. It's a few hours of your life and well worth it. If it really sucks, just leave. Swamping old stories and seeing the changes...it was a great night, and a way to rebuild old networks.

Even if your years weren't the best, go. Some wounds could be healed in the process. I really connected with a couple of former highschool enemies.

My last year of high school was in 1971. Never went to a reunion, never even heard if they ever had one. But in late 80's I was up north visiting and drove by my old high school. Decided to park and take a peek inside. looked like nothing was changed. Even still the same old lockers. It was kind of spooky for some reason... don't know.

Anyway... lots of guys there were from GTA (it was a boarding school) so I have wondered a couple times are any on here? One time at a TERB party I met someone and asked him "Did you go to ***** high school up north?" Person denied it... but I still think it was him. LOL

Hey you know what? Why not just pop the question? Anybody go to boarding school up north name of school intials were SH? The girls school that we were ajoined to was St. Joes.

It is a reunion for all years. This city has a low out going in life
As for facebook there is a guy a work who uses it and it turns out he saw a girl from the past, not his GF.
He is kicking himself in the ass now, she is hot now but wasn't to much back then. it makes me laugh everytime I remind him about this torture and it's only being a month.

I've been to a couple of High School reunions, they are generally pretty good but a lot harde to organize than the University ones.

Sad thing is that our kids are now finished university, makbe they can help us with our walkers at the next.

really freaky though to see how dramatically some people have aged yet others seem to have changed very little. Some of the hot girls are now, much less so yet some of the plainer girls are now damned hot MILFS. Such is life.

I always had a feeling that the beautiful girls loose their edge and the not so hot would regain some or more. I am curious to know if anyone will show up from my year and if they are hot. I already bumped into the snobby group and they are BW.

IF go I want do the new MILF. I am sure there will be some divorce, widow and seperated ones.

Life happens as you plan other things.

You should go, they are always as much fun as you want to make them. People generally make a game out of trying to guess whos who, its bloody funny. Some people may look really different but when they speak you know who it is right away.

Be aware though that there will be the certain percentage that come to brag about one thing or another. Given the wide range of successes that any assortment of people will have had it is best to be very low key about things at first.

At my age the main reunion toic is what our adult kids are doing and whose died since we last met. That gets depressing at times but its the reality.

The hot MILFS make it all worth while. Don't go with your spouse or significant other.

I have never been to a reunion... I have not heard that I have missed one either!

Come to think of it.. I have not seen a soul that I went to high school with in 15 years (2 years after I graduated)
