I think many guys have the required skill set, however, picking up a girl in a bar is risky if you are a married guy. AM allows a married guy to meet another married girl. This is insurance that they don't rat each other out.TheNiteHwk said:

my theory is it's all a clever ruse by some clever divorce lawyers to increase thier income. More cheating=more divorce=more money for the lawyers and being as evidence like pictures is involved, I'd bet the lawyers get to win thier cases quite easily.

Also, based on what I hear from the woman I know who's a member, the guys treat meeting her like a date. They buy her dinner/drinks, the occasional gift, etc. In other words, it ain't really a booty-call free-for-all. That's why I've suggested it's probably cheaper to hobby. (Also, don't forget that the guys pay all the AM service fees for any premium services like chat, IM, etc, as well. That's how AM makes their money).
Why would guys shell out? It seems the women know what the ratio of men to women is, and are prepared to exploit it for all it's worth. So, if you're looking to split the check, chances are she will will move on the the next dozen guys who will "treat her right".
AM has it's uses, but any hobbiest used to picking out the best available young women, getting what they want for reasonable prices, and investing little time in finding them, will be disappointed in AM. I think it's more useful for those who are lonely and are really looking for companionship. That's something you can find on AM that an SP can't give you.
Like Scorpion King, I have a number of women in my life, but I met none of them through an online dating service. I don't know why I would bother. However, I've never really enjoyed "slumming it" when it came to women.
Actually, I met very few women like that. Now, to be honest, things didnt work with every person I met but the hunt is certainly a big part of the fun. Then again, my profile clearly stated the type of woman I was looking for and I had little problem weeding out undesirables. I still have two lovely girlfriends that I met on AM - both of which I've been seeing for over a year now. In fact, one is going to be spending the nite with me this weekend. It's called variety my friend. Sometimes, I prefer to be with my AM girlfriends because it's a completely different experience. A true GFE... not something you have to pay for by the hour. Even though I had to pay for my AM membership and the first date, the ROI is clearly higher. Paying for a 500 credit membership, going on 2-4 dates after a couple weeks of screening would cost no more than 500 bucks... tops. There are more ways to get laid other than paying an escort. Are you so immersed in 'the hobby' that you've lost the ability to 'get some' without handing over 200 bucks for an hour of someone's time? To me, both are great and have their use. Maybe it's just my personal taste, but there's something incredibly appealing about banging a cute, lonely housewife that hasnt had a good romp with another man (other than hubby of course) in the past ten years....

If they don't, they have to give you a "key" to look at a private gallery. Inevitably, they want to see your picture first before they'll do that). Enjoy AM all you want, but I think most men would find it to be a poor investment of time and money, regardless of how desirable they are.
p.s. AM hookups are not true "GFE"s any more that an SP can provide a true GFE. Do I need to explain why?
