Hey there, Mr. rightie. You say that it is the lefties bringing down all these institutions and homages to times past and of customs and traditions. In this case another term for the lefties is, The Majority.
Do you think that politicians will pass laws to appease a minority? Surprise, politicians want to get re-elected and surprise again, they do this by appealing to what the majority want. That is why you see statues being taken down, more police being charged for excess force and politicians calling for some defunding of police. That is what the majority of people want.
And what about financial pressure from businesses to change names of products and disassociate themselves from places they advertise with that are considered in modern times to be promoting racism and sexism, etc.? Businesses exist to maximize profits. The only reason that they apply pressure to those institutions is that they know they will have better financial outcomes by taking this approach than if they simply maintain the status quo. Surprise, more profits is a direct correlation to what more consumers want, i.e. the majority of consumers. Money talks and bullshit walks.
It is time for you and your fellow righties, AKA the minority, to come to terms with the reality which is that the times they are a' changing and society is inexorably shifting more and more to the left, AKA the majority. There is no reason to debate what is right or wrong and what is appropriate or not because these changes are happening on a daily basis. And they are happening because that is what the majority of the people want, not the right wing minority.
So it is time for you and your fellow knuckle-draggers to stop these whiney bitch little posts complaining when things don't go your way and continue to skew left. This is the world we all live in now. DEAL WITH IT.
