I would expect that Israel killed most of them, either through bombing, starvation or destroying the health care system.
Israel are genocidal fuckwads.
I guess, the next thing you will say is that Israel is the one who did not let the hostages go back home and forced them to stay with Hamas.

Given a choice between the US, Israel or other western countries, I would pick them over suicidal Muslim terrorists that glorify martyrdom.
You don't get to choose Israel if you're not part of their tribe. Its an ethnostate. Not so different from their neighbors.

The peace missile Trump approved to target negotiators in Qatar deserves a Nobel Peace Prize.

Hamas offered to return the hostages on Oct 8 and pretty continually since then in exchange for an end to the genocide.
Let me get it straight. Someone (e.g., a bank robber) got hostages and killed some of them (just for the fun of it). The bank is surrounded by the police. That terroris/bank robber say "Let me go and keep the money and I will let the hostages go". The police said "No way, you let the hostages go, surrender, and we will take the death penalty off the table for you/" And you think it is the police's fault and that hostages are not released yet? The Trump's proposal (to which Israel agreed) is very simple: free hostages and disarm, and we will give amnesty to regular terrorists (pretty generous proposal, don't you think?). What did Hamas say? We will free the hostages but will not disarm. What they are not saying (but definitely imply): in a year or two we will get full control over Palestine again and repeat terrorist attacks on Israel.

Trump is a businessman, so, he used to believe in contracts because contracts are enforceable. But this is politics; no contracts are enforceable. He was a fool to believe Putin, he is a fool to believe Hamas, but he is learning.

If you want to get it straight, this is a better metaphor.

Some asshole invades your home, kills your kids and takes your wife prisoner. Then forces you to live in the basement while they block most water and food from coming in. So you get mad and break out and try to take their wife prisoner so you can exchange her for your wife. So then they kill your dog, your neighbhours and block all food, water, power and light from getting in. Then they start lobbing grenades downstairs at you and the prisoner wife and demand you give her back or they will kill you all.

Before Oct 7 Israel there was a 17 year blockade of Gaza. Most people who grew up in Gaza have never been allowed to leave. Israel has had thousands of Palestinians hostages kept through 'administrative detention' for years. In 2014 the people of Gaza protested every Friday for a year while Israel used snipers on them every Friday. Kneecapping and crippling over ten thousands and killing over 200.

Zionists are the most evil fucks on the planet.
