Thanks for agreeing with me in saying that D-Will is a better defensive PG than CP3.

I love Chris Paul and I think he is awesome. His all around game is fantastic but I was saying when these two go head-to-head, D-Will is usually dominant.

CP3 is a little bit better all around.

When they go head to head D.Will usually does out play CP3. You are definitely right on that lawyerman. I remember last year when D.Will beat CP off the dribble and had a vicious dunk. I never root for Utah to win though solely because of Jerry Sloan. Great coach for sure but this guy just seems like a miserable guy, he always has a scowl on his face. He gets paid to coach a game that he loves , but by his facial expressions you would think this guy was the unhappiest guy on the planet. Maybe I am reading too much but I have never seen Sloan smile.

What I like about CP the most is his ability to find bigs in the paint. A lot of point guards dribble penetrate and kick to open shooters, CP is just as likely to find his bigs in traffic as he is to kick out to the spot-up shooters.

It will be interesting as the years go on though to see who is more durable. Logic suggests Deron will be the more durable of the two due to his frame. CP has a slighter frame and probably cant take as much punishment and therefore may be more vulnerable to injury than his counterpart in Salt Lake.

I wish I had watched that game, I was watching the Lakers/Spurs game on ESPN which was also a terrific game. His steals streak was recently snapped earlier this month and maybe he is trying to start another one.

ESPN made the update of CP's performance coming out of a commercial and Mike Tirico said, we dont make this stuff up, and ESPN had a graphic of LBJ's numbers from his Tues Night performance beside CP3's numbers from WEd nights performance, they are very similar. And guess what? Hornets/Cavs Friday night, game 1 of the ESPN double header.

...has definitely gotten an early start on what could be a HOF career.

At his current pace he will be the first player with 20K points and 10K assists. Never done before. Stockton came closest...had he hung around one more season he would have made it. If Magic hadn't missed 4 entire seasons before his comeback, he would have also made it.

Durability will be the key with CP. I think durability might be where D.Will may have an edge on CP but only time will tell.

Its impossible to not appreciate Kobe as a player when you watch him play. I was watching the Lakers/Jazz game last night and on two occasions he missed shots and the Jazz got the rebound (Millsap on one occasion and Korver on the other) both times Kobe traps that player with another Laker teammate and Kobe steals the ball and puts it in the basket. This guy just absolutely hates losing. Its almost as if he plays as though his life is on the line. For me its not even so much his talent and skill that amazes me so much as his inner fire and desire to win that amazes me.

It was funny though last night seeing Memo imitate Kobe's big balls dance after a big shot. Kobe hit a big three-ball to give the Lakers the lead and he did that "big balls" dance that Sam Cassell used to do all the time. Then a few plays later Memo hits a three ball for the Jazz and mocks the dance by doing it himself.

I think the all-star break is coming at the right time for Paul Millsap though, he seems to have hit a wall the past few games after having a great start to the season. The all-star break should rejuvanate him. It will be great to see what the JAzz can do when they get Boozer and AK back.

No disrespect to Dwight Howard because I think he is absolutely fantastic. The most dominant big man in the league today.

BTW, Wilt did not play his first NBA game until he was 23 years, 64 days. :eek: He also racked up over 5000 rebounds in less than 2 years.

He also averaged 22.9 rebounds a game throughout his career.

D12 will never touch those numbers.

I know you are not comparing these two superstars. I am just stating some facts.

Mike Breen , Mark Jackson and JVG were discussing this very topic during the Suns/Mavs game yesterday. They were mentioning that Nelly, Bob Hurley Sr, Chris Mullin and Dennis Johnson should also be in at some point. And I have to agree with them.

LBJ, D. Howard, Chris Paul, Bosh still too young to discuss, but I'm sure there time will come.

One name that I haven't seen here, and I think that he may have been the best 6th man with 7 championships, leadership, clutch play and work ethic.

Don't worry about Carter getting in, and Horry has no chance. The NBA HOF is the hardest N. American HOF to crack. Manu is fringe at best. His international status is the best thing going for him.
