Ok so I started to work at this company six years ago and I'm forced to wear this heavy hard hat on my head all day and it's driving me nuts. I can feel it pulling my hair. If I work 12hrs which I do a lot this heavy piece of plastic is on my fucking head.

Low and behold I'm starting to lose hair on my crown. Nothing major but I'm noticing it and I'm happy at all. I talked to my friend and she said she started noticing it since I started working at this new place.

I know it from the hard hat its irritating the fuck out of me. I tried a couple of oils lavender oil, caster oil. No success though.

Anyone have any suggestions? I'm not going to quit my job I make good money and have a great pension. I'm 39 years old but look younger/great shape and I love my hair it's nice light brown and I love doing it up when I go.

I find this hair loss on my crown very bothersome. I'm thinking of trying rogaine I don't know I've been doing research on the internet kinda mixed review.

Depends on a lot of factors. Did your father/grandfather go bald? Do you keep it short? Back in the 70s I let my hair grow long and it fell out in clumps. Every time I washed it the bathtub drain would get clogged. I noticed a lot of the guys I worked with were of an age when crew cuts or shorter greased up hair was in fashion. They mostly had a full head of hair. Younger guys who had long hair were losing it. An Italian barber told me to crop my hair to save it. So I did. It felt much stronger and bristly when short. For the most part I think it helped. I still have most of it.
Talk to a professional. But my 2 cents. Crop it.

Talk to your dermatologist. There are meds to prevent further loss and topical solutions that may grow it back.

Propecia

Been taking it for almost 25 years. Works great for me. 95% of my hair back. Works best when losing it from the crown. Not so great for receding hairlines.

The 5mg version, Proscar is covered by medical plans. Use a pill splitter and cut it into 4.

Ask your doctor.

That is exactly the course of treatment I used to follow.

Consult a doctor and request a referral to a dermatologist if needed, to determine the cause of your hair loss (genetic or occupational) and best treatment for.

Your done for. Life is over for you. Life as you know it, will cease to exist. Water taste different, air won't seem as a fresh. I would get yourself into counselling to help prepare for your new life

The hard hat isn't the cause of it. Lots of people wear them all their lives and don't lose their hair. It's genetics. Me and my brother lost ours mostly and our other brother didn't. I wear a hard hat all day, you could try using a bump cap if allowed.

Been a cue ball for years. Saved tons of cash not having to pay for hair cuts.
When I first started losing my hair in my mid 20’s, I was freaking out. Used to look in the mirror every day and prey it would stop. One day you finally say to yourself “fuck it! It’s gone...”. Once you do that, you can move on. Luckily for me, everyone tells me it totally suits me and think I rock the bald head quite well.

The crazy part is, it was pretty much gone by the time I was in my late 20’s, so I figured it would be all gone by 35, but for some reason, I still get peach fuzz on the top of my head, so with my shaved head, still looks pretty good.

Yikes Bro . . . .

ZINC (50 mg 3x/daily wi/ meals)

MAGNESIUM (450 mg 3x/daily w/ meals)

Both minerals are bio-synthesizers . . . . . build protein tissues IE hair, skin, finger-nails, muscles etc.

PROTEIN (approx. 1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight Eg. 200 lbs --- 200 grams)

Best Bang for the Buck . . . . . beef, pork, eggs, milk, fish, seafood

'Hair' is composed of protein

FISH/FLAX OIL

Keep us in the loop . . . . . ;)

Bro . . . . . don't listen to the defeatist dummies!

Get your blood-work done . . . . . dhea, testosterone, dht etc.

'DHT' (dihydrotestosterone) . . . . . bio-metabolite when our bodies convert Testosterone to DHT

Gobs of guys with too much 'DHT' causes the dreaded, 'MALE PATTERN BALDNESS'

GOOD NEWS . . . . . 2 Natural Holistic Wellness botanicals will block-inhibit the testosterone/dht conversion

Do NOT listen to your 'doctor', they're lab-coat glorified drug-pushers --- drug-dealers! Say 'NO' to synthetics!

Let us know how things to turn out . . . . . ;)

From my point of view, this may be a simpler option. You immediately see the trend and you have enough enthusiasm to relate to this simply. It looks very different when you are 35. . t.

Im actually 45, I was just saying that at rate is was falling out, I figured for sure it would be gone by age 35. It mostly is but I still get peach fuzz up there which I'm shocked at. That's all I meant.

Saw Palmetto has messed up guys in similar ways to propecia. You take an oral dht blocker, you're asking for trouble. If you have to do something, at least keep it to a topical like rogaine or nizoral, but, still pray to something that it doesn't mess up your hormones.
