What were you "doing"?After a few seconds I go back to what I was doing
Gads, I can sure feel the love in this thread. I can also see that FUJI isn't the only one who thinks you were the jerk. I'm not quite sure what you expected to get out of posting this thread; support, sympathy, absolution. It kind of reminds me of the 'Cold' thread.I was kind of perpared for opinion to go this way. I even secertly predicted Fuji would respond as he did.
Regardless I got a good laugh out of it. No matter how mad I get I will not spit on my own window. lol
While it is not an actual parking spot I made sure to be out of the driveway.
I'll hazard a guess that most of his macho jollies were writing the thread. He is a rather stupid individual that has nothing of value or significance to differentiate himself from others (e.g. a personality). For one brief moment, he can influence someone's life by interrupting his/her routine. This (in his little mind) gives him power of at least getting noticed - even if it is as an asshole.I'm not quite sure what you expected to get out of posting this thread; support, sympathy, absolution.
No, since you have already admitted you were not parked legally, you are the one breaking the rules of the road, and in fact are the rude one in this situation.laughing.
Yes I could have moved, but this guy was rude from the start.
I was going to comment but resisted. Until I saw your comment. LOLCue Petzel
I like your metaphor and think its appropriate in this case. Ironhead is like a pool of shit. I am sure he is a very sad person in real life.I'll hazard a guess that most of his macho jollies were writing the thread. I think of it this way ... you are walking along a path having a great time with your friends when you come across a pool of shit on the sidewalk. It is unpleasant but you all make the effort to walk around the pool of shit. As unpleasant as it is, the pool of shit has influenced your lives by making you walk around it. Once you are by, you and your friends still enjoy life without thinking of the detour and for all the trouble it once caused, now behind is still just a pool of shit.
Well, I don't want to make fun of his wife, but I was going to ask if he told her what he did?Your wife must have been soooo proud of you when you told her the story. I'm guessing she's 120 lbs overweight as well. Is that why you had to park illegally, cause the walk may have sent her into cardiac arrest?
Did you politely ask him to move his car (could you please move your car out of the way cuz you're blocking us)? Not that you should have to go out of your way since he shouldn't be there in the first place if he's courteous, but some young people expect that they should be asked nicely to undo a wrong they've committed. He's a young buck who thinks he's cool in front of his girlfriend by being a rebel? That same thing happened to me a few months back at a gas station at Winston Churchill and QEW. I was at the very outside pump behind a pickup truck filling up. So both of us are filling up at 6am and I finish first (4cyl car) and go to pass the truck on the right and jump on the QEW to head to work. As I signal to leave the pump theres this honda parked by the curb 6 feet from the front bumper of the pickup blocking me in. I figured his car was stalled cus it wud be stupid to park in such a spot so nobody could pass. So I honk then after a short time I honk again, the guy doesnt move so I get out walk up to his car (young 20ish guy with his g-friend in the pass seat) and ask if there's something wrong with his car. He's say's no and I have to reverse and go another way to get out. I try to not too mad cus I know my temper so I tell him that there's a line of cars behind me waiting for me to leave the pump so they could get gas and there's no other way for me to get out unless all the cars behind me move in order to let me out. So I start to lose it on this dweeb and raise my voice cus he's being ignorant and doesnt want to leave. Even the pickup driver filling up tells this jackass that Im right and thats a stupid place to park. So now im pissed so walk up to his window yelling at him and I bang on his window hard and tell him that if he doesnt move his car i'm gunna drag him out of his car through the window and move it for him. He then moves his car to one of the empty spaces in front of the booth where he should'ov been parked in the first place if he doesnt intend on buying gas.
It pissed me off cus it was first thing in the morning (im not an morning guy) and I couldnt get over how ignorant and selfish some drivers are. I was pissed all the way to work. There's nothing more frustrating then tryin to explain simple common sense shit to an idiot and him still arguing with you.
I actually agreed with fuji for the first time...lolYou should have moved. You were a jerk. He didn't start out rude--he tapped his horn to get your attention. At that point if you weren't a jerk you would have moved.
I forgot to add this smiley but we concur.ohhhh yeah, women just luuuuvvv that kind of thing!
I honked first twice then I walked up and asked him if there's something wrong with his car (I wudda did what I could to help him if his car was not starting) then when he said no with an attitude I asked him to move his car but I didnt say please if that's what youre asking. I said " Buddy, can you move your car so I can get out"Did you politely ask him to move his car (could you please move your car out of the way cuz you're blocking us)? Not that you should have to go out of your way since he shouldn't be there in the first place if he's courteous, but some young people expect that they should be asked nicely to undo a wrong they've committed. I think he over-reacted too but I would support a finger-gesture and perhaps mouthing out 'asshole', if not a dirty look. But sometimes, we all bend the rules only temporarily and maybe out of necessity (picking up an elder person, etc.), but it seems that moving his car a bit was easier than backing out.Whats the big deal the OP didnt move his car. The other driver wasnt blocked in, all he had to do was back up. If the other driver was blocked in, then it would be a different story all together. But the other driver just wanted the OP to move, because it was easier for him to leave a parking space. If you cant back out of a spot then you shouldnt be driving. I personally drive a full size pick up, and i back into every spot, its just easier to get out of.
