Happy that the Bolts won - the better team def. won - and AV88 was a beast. Taking nothing away from CP31. If anything I would love to see Price win one - just not with the Habs.

Kuch called out Habs fans in the press conference. I don't think he was being very classy with all that swearing but he must be drunk on champaign.

AV88 has taken the title as the best goalie in the NHL from Price.

It’s easy for Av88 to be good when your team Is incredible , and18 mil over the salary cap at playoff start time because of some bullshit cap rules ? If you put Price in the bolts net they would never lose a game . Any hockey fan with any knowledge knows Price is the best goalie in the world ! And I’m not a Habs fan just a hockey fan

He also called out the voters of the Vezina trophy for giving it to that guy Vegas .
I guess winning the Stanley Cup gives you the OK to act like an ass until someone gives you a cross check to your back

Do you consider that some kind of great achievement for such an iconic team?
Making the Stanley cup finals and beating good teams in Vegas and Toronto in the process is definitely a very good achievement and enjoyable as a fan. The enjoyment is ramped up when you beat your rival in a way that is embarrassing for them.

The Canadiens are historically iconic. But things have changed since 1990 not only in Montreal but the NHL. From that period on they are not iconic. But nobody really is anymore. You celebrate things when they come because things are more spread.

Since 1990 no franchise has been truly iconic in the NHL. The best sustained runs have been from Detroit. New Jersey, Chicago, Pittsburgh, and Tampa have also had nice sustained runs in the period. And the Habs have not been close to that.

But no team is iconic anymore modern day in this age of parity. Of course you celebrate when your team makes the cup final no matter which team — it is a great accomplishment.

Would you rather a player give a canned speech that said nothing and was a waste of time? He called it like it is. Was he wrong? He also took plenty of cross checks from Montreal. This is how he sticks it back to them.

Well it is hockey.
Well we should give a 110%, I just want to help my team win, the coach he says if we put the puck in the other teams net and stop them from putting the puck in our net we will win more games.

Maurice, another excellent intelligent, knowledgeable and civil post by you.

Montreal was 3-1 in the playoffs. I'm sure a lot of 0-0, 0-1 and 2-1 teams would love to be 3-1 if they can't be 4-0.

Old Irish proverb: "A person who belittles the achievements and accomplishments of another person(s) is a loser". I would add to that any person who posts silly Captain Obvious pics as well.

Thanks you Shack. I am not going to deny that Since 1993 Montreal has been a middle of the pack program and it could stay that well for a while just based on how the league is going. You have to take the highs when they come.
