Also I think Scotty Bowman was coaching? He was a genius behind the bench.
That team was so talented, all Bowman did was open and close the gate to the bench.

Pound for pound, Jonathan was the best fighter of all time!lol!! give your head a shake. bouchard had 45 lbs and 6 inches on stan. and stan f$#ing destroyed him:yo:
He was bigger than SJ but in no way huge, but John Ferguson was the toughest guy I ever saw fight. Rarely lost.Pound for pound, Jonathan was the best fighter of all time!
He was a bit before my time, he retired before I followed hockey seriously, I'll take your word for it.He was bigger than SJ but in way huge, but John Ferguson was the toughest guy I ever saw fight. Rarely lost.
Did you see Ferguson fight?
JFJ inherited his good looks. LOLHe was a bit before my time, he retired before I followed hockey seriously, I'll take your word for it.
I remember that pic.Bobby Hull was also a bit before my time, and he was strong as a bull, as there is a famous pic of him shirtless balng hay in off season, but what was his reputation as a fighter?
Was that the same Habs team that played the visiting Russians to a 3-3 draw?Les Habs could throw out Lambert, Tremblay and Risebrough as their 3rd line on any given night and give the opposition fits.
Bouchard was tough for sure but I'll never forget Stan Jonathan besting him in a playoff game at the gardens. As a Hab fan growing up that was hard to watch. Not to mention Lupien was getting thrashed at the same time. The Bruins were a really good team in those days. I was thought Dryden was the difference maker between the two teams in the end.
a bit before my time, but i agree, tough, tough fighter. vicious lacrosse player too.He was bigger than SJ but in no way huge, but John Ferguson was the toughest guy I ever saw fight. Rarely lost.
Did you see Ferguson fight?
Tough as nails, he was feared, he took care of his mates. He was bigger than SJ but in no way huge, but John Ferguson was the toughest guy I ever saw fight. Rarely lost.

Yup, that was the greatest game I ever saw, Cournoyer and Lemaire were skating circles around Red Army. Was that the same Habs team that played the visiting Russians to a 3-3 draw?
I can't recall John Ferguson losing a fight (may be someone can correct me).Tough as nails, he was feared, he took care of his mates.
And he could score too.
Yeah Dryden sucked in that game. Guess he was too big which was great for stopping North American style long shots but a bit slow for the Red Army play making in front of the grease. He had to get used to the Russian style lol.Yup, that was the greatest game I ever saw, Cournoyer and Lemaire were skating circles around Red Army.
Unfortunately Dryden sucked that night, he only faced 13 shots on goal and allowed 3.
True :applause::very_drunk:That team was so talented, all Bowman did was open and close the gate to the bench.
Didn't sound right, so I looked it up. 6'0", 178lbs.I can't recall John Ferguson losing a fight (may be someone can correct me).
He was only 5'9" but tough as hell with those iron fists lol.
