Skooby, when was the last time you posted about gun laws in this thread?

Are you for or against more laws that will make owning handguns and guns used in crime penalized more?
If you were paying attention, I did post about gun laws...my stand was that while the Liberals funded and implemented gun laws, gun violence still went up.

So either they just did that as a PR stunt like usual, or the laws don't match the systems that need to be put in place to actually control guns.

Their plan was half-baked by virtue of the statistics that show it didn't work.

Laws are only as good as they can be effectively enforced. I'm for laws that actually work and don't just make for good headlines.

you on the other hand just injected DoFo and PP in a thread about gun laws as a means to distract.

Or the laws weren't strict enough.
Or it hasn't been long enough after the laws to see statistical change.

Gun laws worked in Australia
They work in the UK.
They work in the US where gun deaths are lower in states with fewer guns.

I've been saying for a long time that FRANK CONTRIBUTES NOTHING TO TERB EXCEPT INCREASED ILL WILL AND RANCOR. There are 100x more accusations of lying in his debates than anyone else.

I've been on here over 20 years and FRANK IS THE ABSOLUTE BIGGEST DETRIMENT TO THIS BOARD THAT I HAVE EVEN SEEN.

The only reason he is here is to sow dissent and spew hate. TERB would be much better off without him. Until then his BS needs to be repeatedly called out.
This is a discussion about gun laws.
Do you have something to contribute?

Or they just created laws that are impossible to enforce and it was a PR stunt? They started with these laws in 2022.

Still doesn't explain what DoFo has to do with this and why you injected him into this thread again...it's chronic trolling with you isn't it?

And the last was passed in December.
Why do you think gun crimes are going down in Toronto but up in rural Ontario?

It's a national law...why do you have a challenge understanding that? Why are you looking at specific areas in Canada when they're all subject to the same law?

Many morons to the south dont believe that gun laws and police are effective. As usual the facts say otherwise. Some asshole tried to have Hawaii abolish its gun laws because of the 2nd ammendmant. https://www.statista.com/statistics/1380025/us-gun-violence-rate-by-state/
I don’t know if you know this but Hawaii is an island my friend.

Absolutely hilarious when anti-gunners use England, Japan (and now Hawaii) as “good” examples.

Canada is not a small isolated island, we are the 2nd largest country in the world and we share the longest border in the world with the worlds largest firearms manufacturer.

many European countries, such as Switzerland, Belgium, Czech Rp. And Italy have pro-gun laws and low crime rates but anti-gunners conveniently ignore them and pretend like the U.S. is the only pro-gun country in the world 🤣

Canada is NOT an island. We are the 2nd largest country in the world and share the worlds longest uncontrolled border with the worlds largest firearms manufacturer.

What you said about the U.S. is blatantly false. Many anti-gun states have higher shooting stats than pro-gun states. Even regarding the U.S. the vast majority of deaths are suicides and gang related, both accounting for 1/3 of deaths each. Excluding LEO shootings, only a small fraction of the deaths are actual homicides on innocent victims, and this includes domestic violence.

Also thanks for conveniently ignoring all the pro gun countries like Italy, Switzerland, Belgium and many others who have low gun stats despite having lax gun laws.

I don't know if you know this but the united states has among the most lax gun laws int he world and also one of the highest in gun violence and also the leading country in mass murders. It wasn't just Hawaii jerkoff all the states that have strictest gun laws were among the lowest in gun violence

Near as I can tell he is responding to Franks illogical typical response. He doesn’t understand those places are half way across the world, are mostly surrounded by large bodies of water. Nor do they share the worlds longest undefended and porous Swiss cheese border with the wild Wild West.

The numbers are behind what I said.
Report: States With Strong Laws See Less Gun Violence
California and Hawaii earned the highest marks on a report examining the strength of the country’s gun laws.

Yes, most illegal guns in Canada come from the states. So we need stronger laws on importing them, strong laws on holding them.

ROTFLMAO!

Did you actually read the article? The "numbers" are an arbitrary score from an anti-gun organization. Statistics, facts and logic aren't anti-gunners' strong suits, so they have to make up lies, like this "article".

You only accept studies about guns from the NRA?

tell that to Chicago Illinois
Fact. Chicagos and Toronto population is similar.
Fact. Illinois has some the U.S. strictest gun controls
Fact. Their police force is larger and budget is higher
Fact. Their violent crime stats excluding gun deaths are better. If I recall correctly from the last time you and others denied stats and facts.

OMG. Do you know.
Criminals don’t respect laws? And there’s something called smuggling? Often don’t respect human life either.

Apparently not.

This is one of the most hilariously inane posts in a long time.
