AP (Las Vegas) - After careful consideration, Mr. Howard Hughes is making an unsolicited takeover bid for GTAC. When reached for comment, a Mormon aide to Mr. Hughes stated "he's poured over the financials of this company, and has decided that since he has grown tired of owning casinos, that he would love to get into this line of business". Rumours have swept through the various world financial centres as Mr. Hughes prepared the initial details of the bid. The bid would be structured via PIK notes, being that he will bid on GTAC using other notes of value. It is rumoured that he will be tapping into Canadian Tire money, and Esso Extra points. The chosen banks will be making this offer public over the next 6-8 weeks.
This this mean the Empire of Evil is going under? My application was really close to being accepted.

As for your application, final interviews will be held in late September. Our next plan of evil is to shorten the days, and bring cold weather and snow to Canada. By doing this, people will throw salt on their sidewalks - thus ruining so many shoes.

You should mix that salt with some gum! That way the salt will stick to the shoes and not only will more shoes be ruined faster... people will drag even more salt into their cars and homes ruining carpets and flooring!HowardHughes said:

Jack and Sabrina I could not agree more. I was gone for a few days, get home and ZERO access to the GTAC site and no warning of it "riding off into the sunset". That was a REAL Pain!!!jackalltt said:
Although GTAC did have its problems, it did provide a more local voice on all services (good and bad) in the Niagara region. That will be missed by many.
As for the free advertising that was allowed, it was a great idea. No money to be made but great for the peolpe that took advantage of it. That option should have been as a "short term" arrangement only and then changed over to some type of payment to advertise.
And yes, tbill could have used another pair (or 2) of eyes as moderators. Did find his handling of certain things a bit.....unusual.

Unfortunate that GTAC is gone, but if I know TBill, he will resurface again, all be it in another form, perhaps as a contributor to TERB.....anyway he ran the site pretty much on his own and I am sure only a small minority of people showed any appreciation. I sensed that one of the root themes associated with GTAC was for TBill to have an opportunity to meet Women, all be it thru non-conventional means, if I am correct in that assumption, I hope he has met "that right women". No one should be alone in life.
I thought he "had" the right women in Asian Sensation. Should have never let her go. Women like that come around only once in a life time.
