You just reminded me, I was at the store last week and I saw some brand I don't ever recall seeing, NoodleKing or something? The packs were .12c a pack. I did a double take when I saw that price cause they haven't seen them that low in so many years
The price we're paying for groceries is insane. Prices are rising double that of United States (March 2026). Its real and people are feeling the pain.
If you go to independent Asian grocery stores. Prices are way cheaper than the corporations. Shop local. Not everyone has this option but I've seen people save 300% of their bills by making the shift. Living downtown? Chinatown is way cheaper than everyone.
I am noticing this more and more. Not only the prices being lower but there is an ASTRONOMICAL difference in quality of meat and produce particularly. It's come to the point where i shop at mainstream grocers for my dogs meat and even i cringe buying that.
Not sure who's stock chart that is but Loblaw Companies Ltd (L.TO) is trading at about $63 not $150.60.
And COVID is over. That chart was Loblaws' stock price from about mid 2019 to the end of 2024.
