Wynne gladly accepted it and didn't put up a fight like she should have done.
Tesla lawsuit? A whole $125k? Cancelling the rebate program has saved $millions. Well worth it. btw Tesla is fighting several lawsuits of their own for shady fiscal reporting.
WHy does it matter if it was in the middle of an election if the end goal was to reduce council anyway? It would just be delaying the inevitable.
Yup, you were wrong three times and proven so.

Just remember that right now Toronto is having an election with 47 city councillors.
Drug Ford will have to take the unprecedented step of using the notwithstanding clause in order to screw with Toronto's election, which will force the city to delay the election and cost millions.

So, the government has announced it will hold public hearings into the bill to kill cap and trade.

And yet ... Greenpeace is still proceeding with its lawsuit.

Clearly, this is a nuisance lawsuit that forces the government to commit resources to a case that won't change the final outcome. So Greenpeace is wasting taxpayers' dollars, after all.

Did the Liberals campaign on bringing in the HST in Ontario?
Did the Liberals campaign on bringing in the health tax ?
Did the Liberals campaign on wasting well over $1 billion on the gas plants? and being up front with the fact they could care less what it cost?
etc etc
Even worse, Wynne said in 2014 that a carbon tax was not part of her government's plan.

Announcing public consultations after the government posted they are ending cap and trade won't fool a judge.
That's so stupid.
But I guess its enough for you.

Frankfooter can't pass a grade 10 literacy test?
What about you?
Maybe John and Larue are two different people, in which case his grammar is correct?

If not, PA does not look too bright.

If Doug Ford wasn't such a fucking moron and understood the law he could do it legally and not give people the grounds they need to sue the government. Basically it's forcing the government to follow the law.
Exactly, Ford is playing off the populist treatise, whereby he acts like an 'anti-politician' and comes in to break up the system.
Problem is he's just not bright enough to understand the system's safety checks.

Touche!
Or not... your second sentence is more than likely the correct one!

You mean how council's legal advisers weren't smart enough to know that he could invoke the notwithstanding clause if the court ruling went in their favour? That type of safety check?

And anyone can file a lawsuit against anyone for anything. So just because someone does, doesn't mean it's warranted.

Also could have invoked the notwithstanding clause if he wanted to ban newborn puppies from being adopted and a court ruled against it... doesn't mean it's the right, appropriate, or smart thing to do.
Your ignorance is endless.

You kidding? Ford did the greatest thing I can remember for a conservative politician.

Harper was a real good politician, but he was a snake, a sneaky bastard just like former Premier Katherine Wynne. You cannot survive that long in politics if you weren't a snake.

What Doug Ford did was amazing. He used the system to defeat and beat down the left. The left are always using the system to frustrate their opponents and advance their leftist goals.

Doug Ford turned the tables on them, and the crying and wailing starts. It is like the left believe that they had exclusive rights to only use the system to advance their interest. Doug Ford complete and total victory means this is a new era.

This conservative government intends to fight for every inch it wants.

Perfectly stated.

Further, the PC’s have learned over the years that you can’t negotiate with the left because they will hamper any kind of progress you are trying to make then blame you for not making progress.
The left is being dealt with in the way they deserve, meaning, remove them from the equation.
Then you will progress.
Let the next election decide if that progress warrants re-election.

You don't really expect them to hang their hopes on actually winning an election do you?
Wow that’s early even for you.
So you’re going to spend the next 4 years predicting the next election?
Well, at least it will give you something to occupy yourself with so you don’t get into trouble yelling at trees or something like that.

Says the guy talking about unborn puppies who can’t provide a realistic analogy to save his life.
Epic fail.
Btw shouldn’t you be somewhere shaming overweight people right about now?
