What a terrible blow to Elon Musk, how can X possibly survive not having Gord Miller on board.
#1. His contract was $4 million, not $9 million.
#2. Regarding the $2 million - he might have to, but I wouldn't 100% assume he has to repay it. We have no clue what the termination settlement, if any, was between the Hawks and Perry. There is a reason this festered a few days before the Hawks decided to announce something. Its quite possible they settled on Perry receiving a portion of his remaining salary so that the matter would close quietly and there would be no grievance.

I'm thinking there is some sort of non disclosure attached to their settlement as well.
Perry's playing days are over and so are his chances of getting into the hall of fame.
Hall of Fame...even if this didn't happen Perry was borderline HOFer at best, his career stats are OK but he hasn't had a 20 goal season in 9 years...look at some of the players who haven't made it, I'd probably consider 6-7 before Perry.
The details of the story are not known. It got out because Perry was basically dismissed from the team. He was a healthy scratch just before a game in Columbus, and basically disappeared. The media and fans started to question WTF was happening, and the Hawks didn't say anything. So, some idiots on Twitter (or elsewhere) came up with the Bedard's mom story...which is obvious bullshit (though kind of fun).
We now know that Perry is getting treatment for alcohol... But apparently the Hawks were right to keep this quiet to protect the identity of the victim.
He was in the hall before that shit became public....Now, should he be kicked out? Yes!
Then there is the case of Alan Eagleson. The official story is that he resigned from the HOF.
I'm sure Harold Ballard did not directly hire the pedophile usher at Maple Leaf Gardens and as far as I know had no knowledge/involvement in any sort of cover-up.
I have it on good authority that Perry was drunk and got all handsy with Caley Chelios, who works for the organization. She's the daughter of Chris Chelios.

I don't care what you think. My friend, who used to play pro hockey heard it from a current Tampa Bay Lightning player. Whom I gather, is a very reliable source.
Based on what we now know, it wasn't Bedard's mom, it was someone in the organization, he's admitted he has an alcohol problem and entered a treatment program. It's not a stretch to think what my friend told me is true.
This is actually makes complete sense when you think of it.
