Sure you can! Just click on the 3 horizontal line box in right upper right hand corner, click history and then clear all browsing data.
I use Chrome as my main browser and it's great. You can erase individual cookies and history via "3 bars/Settings/Show Advanced Settings/Content settings (under Privacy)/All cookies and site data".
I have to say though, IE10 is a lot faster and nicer than previous versions. I keep IE, FireFox, and Chrome on my comp just in case I come across the odd site that doesn't work well with one or the other browser.

Well I know you can clean it this way, but I thought that despite doing so, the website will still be kept in memory so to say?

You can determine and preset what all you want cleared whenever you execute that action, Miss Malika.
Go to the Chrome pull down menu, then launch "Clear Browsing Data" from there. That should bring up a window offering you choices on what all you want cleared whenever you launch "History" from the triple bar box in the upper right corner.
Guys, there are now two concurrent Chrome threads on the Board (the other one is in Tech). Plus, I started a Chrome thread a while back as well.
