Sad news today about Mr Kennedy. Seems like bad luck runs in that family. Seen that most people with his type of cancer die within 3 years :( Yes hes 76 years old-some people don't even live that long but then many others do live until their 90's.

I wish him the best of luck.

Hopefully, a dying politician will not become the new front for political bickering.

I agree.

Love him or hate him he is an icon of the Senate.

Most aren't aware he and Sen. Orrin Hatch (R) co-sponsored
many pieces of legislation. Eight terms as US Senator is
impressive by any standard of measurement.
Kennedy has been a very good senator, and has authored a lot of significant legislation. His personal life has overshadowed very impressive achievements.

I wonder how Mary Jo's family are taking the news.
Did people wish you bad luck, when you were seriously ill? Don't you seriously think
there is a time to .. Oh forget it, bozo.

I never wished one way or the other for teddy. I just asked how MaryJo's family would feel. You drew a conclusion based on your own prejudice, as I knew you would.

reeled in:)

come on, that was too easy.

Don't try to talk yourself out of your hideous taste post. It won't work.

1.) Go and track them down.

2.) Ask them. In person.

3.) Stay off the internet until you have something to report - BOZO.

I will not retract my post.

teddy loved socialized medicine so much and lauded Canada as a shining example. Lets see if he will turn his back on quality US care that his bootlegging money can purchase and come up here to join a waiting list.

I'm not trying to talk my way out of anything.

I lobbed the bait out and you swallowed it whole. None of which changes the fact that while I don't wish teddy ill, I also don't much care. Again karma.

I don't feel the slightest bit sorry for him. He's lived a charmed, full and rewarding life. We should all be so lucky. Everyone dies and he may soon die. Why is this any more remorseful than anyone else's death? I feel bad for people who are taken early in life who didn't get the opportunity to fullfil their destiny...such as his brothers and nephews, but not him. He got to live the dream.

No apology???????

One only apologizes when one is wrong.

there is none needed from me in this case. There is the one that he will perhaps offer to a certain lady's family as he seeks absolution that his bootleg wealth has been unable to secure.

The bickering solves what in a thread regarding a long time politician who now finds himself with what appears to be terminal cancer?

Ted Kennedy like all of us had some parts of his personal life best overlooked at this moment.

Others will postulate wether he deserves the elder statesman status.

For now, lets just wish him well.

There will be a more appropriate time and thread to argue the nuances.

He took that young girls life and tried to hide from responsibility. They would have succeeded if his "people" had set it up fully before that pesky local cop got involved.

He can have been a Senator for 60 years and he could never erase that cowardice and arrogance in my view. Maybe I am divisive, but I am consistent. You shouldn't let your well earned positive view of his brother allow teddy any slack by inference.

Classless LancsLad... I really expected more from you.

It's rather interesting that at the start of this thread you claimed you didn't have an opinion on Kennedy and just playing a game. Well... you certainly appear to be full of opinions now.

Hardless classless but you are more than welcome to your opinion. When John Edwards wife's cancer was announced I was one of the first to offer condolences on this board and suggested that the wolves put the knives away. She is an innocent and not a combatant in the political arena. teddy boy on the other hand is a typical two faced lib that loves to play the game. he is anti everything that I believe in and deserves no quarter.

I was willing to let it go with only my danmand baiting lob, but others seem to want to continue.

I make no apologies for my disdain for and lack of respect for teddy as a person. His callous disregard for the life he took hardly warrants anything more.

I never said i was glad he got cancer. I've had it, it's no fun, thats for sure, but I am not tripping over myself to say nice things about him now, simply because he is ill. I've known far too many decent and kind people that have been taken by cancer at a much earlier age than his to be worried about ole'teddy boy.

My comments regarding the suggestion that he join a Canadian style queue to show he truly believes in the sanctity of the socialized way stand. All those ultra rich libs talk the talk, but when they need top flight care they always show that there are indeed two paths.
