This is why I love Ready or Not.

It was an independent Canadian project that didn't have any hope of getting beyond the Southern Ontario market. It was made for $6 USD, apart from Samara Weaving and Andi McDowell, the rest of the cast was all Canadian. It was filmed at Casa Loma and Parkwood Estates in Oshawa. When it started getting strong word of mouth, Fox Searchlight (now owned by Disney) picked it up for American distribution. It went on to gross $62 million USD at the box office. It's now on rotation on both HBO and Amazon Prime.

Sadly, there are no Scream Queen projects in Samara Weaving's future?

I’m waiting for the next Bond before I go to the movies. I usually only go once or twice a year. Tarantino’s Once...Hollywood is the last time I went.

When Nolan first started working on his new project, he said he wanted to make a film in the spirit of Alfred Hitchcock. The film looks like a sequel to the brilliant Inception to me. Does John David Washington have his father Denzel's moxy? On the basis of his work in BlacKKKlansman, I would say yes.

There are three other films attempting to revive the theater market: Unhinged, Bill and Ted Face The Music and The New Mutants. Wile E Rusty (Russell Crowe) has gotten it started. Not surprising, Rusty has never done anything nice and easy - he likes it nice and rough. So far it seems that audiences are responding to his nerve, the film has made $6 million outside the home. Bill and Ted is hot commodity Samara Weaving's first Ready or Not release. Two other films that were in the can were released after the Ready or Not echo effect with mixed results.

I loved John David Washington's role in BlacKKKlansman. He's a brilliant actor, and I hope to see him in a lot more leading roles in the future. I also heard great reviews for Tenet, so this one is definitely going to be worth seeing in theaters.

So you're TOFTT as well?

BlacKKKlansman was one of Spike Lee strongest films but it depressed the hell out of me. Especially Harry Belafonte's description of the lynching of Jesse Washington. Adam Driver was also good in the film, he was sensational in Martin Scorsese's Silence. An Oscar worthy performance. But then Hollywood doesn't always reward those who deserve it most, Samara's uncle Hugo Weaving deserved the Best Actor Oscar for V for Vendetta.

Even though you never see his face.

Henry Czerny played Kittridge in Tom Cruise’s first Mission Impossible movie 24 years ago, and interestingly he is reprising the role in the next MI movie. Whatever your opinion of Tommy boy, there is no denying that the last 3 MI movies have been damn good action movies.

Sorry bemeup, I've boycotted Tommy Boy films since he butchered Ron Kovic in Born on 4th July. I asked my Vietnam Vet cousin what he thought of the film, his words are unforgettable "Pee Wee Herman would have been more convincing". I did make an exception for Magnolia, the only Paul Thomas Anderson film I hadn't seen. It's an over long sloppy film with Tommy Boy giving his usual male PMS performance. PTA corrected himself with Punch Drunk Love, Adam Sandler was outstanding!

By theatre I thought the OP meant live theatre.

I've been to 3 live plays put on in our neighbourhood outdoors this Summer. The actors are students, not quite ready for primetime.

In somma, the poll was accurate. I'm not getting any takers for Tenet, not even Steve Shutt. Not waiting for the weekend, going tomorrow to Colossus IMAX...it's TOFTT time.

Elizabeth Debicki has top billing, I don't know who she is? Sweet looking girl.

Nolan's best bud was not available for Tenet, He's currently occupied. Is it true that Christopher Nolan bought Stanley Kubrick's country manor...somewhere on the road from London to Bristol.

Demand is very high for the Venom sequel, unlike the first film that Sony thought was going to bomb - never underestimate Tom Hardy. Venom 2 unleashes the weekend prior to Canada Day.

Nice triggering attempt TeeJay but I'm not biting. I agree that the overall quality and lack of originality coming from Hollywood is driving the industry into the dirt. Last year's Best Picture Winner, Parasite, would not have been green lit by Hollywood. A sharp satire on inequality is much too risky, better to finance another empty Star Wars film.

And I've never understood why lovely Brie Larson got so much hate, Disney threw her under a bus. She'll get the last laugh. Disney will pay for sucking China's Communist Party's collective ass.

...Brie Larson, smells like Gorgonzola, tastes like Mascarpone.

I enjoy foreign films mainly because of the non-Hollywood pov
But honestly Parasite was weak even as a Korean film
I can only continue to say the reason it won is because of the declining quality of films these days

Star Wars is Star Wars. But the last film was really stupid even by their standards.

Brie Larson is a basket case, same level as say Tom Cruise.
Her rants are legendary. And absurd off the charts.

And I still maintain someone like Nolan represents everything wrong in the movie industry today.
Yes he is better than say Bay but most of what he does is so overhyped.
It's funny he is DC since the Marvelpocalypse is def one of the defining moments in the demise of Hollywood.

Brie Larson is an introvert and a great actress, her work in indie films is second to none. She is not suited for the the Disney brain dead apocalypse, she never should have joined Marvel. You can't compare her to a sociopath cultist slave monger.

And she was one of Craig's favorite guests.

Have to explain everything to you two dudes. Here is the meaning of "theatre".
You admitted you were wrong.
By theatre I thought the OP meant live theatre.
And then you proceeded to post about what you knew OP was NOT asking about. I know you are an expert in theatre. Unfortunately, in your case, it is the theatre of the absurd.

The proper meaning of "theatre, theater" is live performance.

So, I have every right to talk about live performances.

Shack leave Dartsy alone, you;re starting to look like a jilted lover.

From the unabashed moron file:Brent Hatley.

He had it made so what does he do - he gets his ass fired from The Howard Stern Show and Sirius/XM altogether. He brutally went after Mamet, then lost to him in an IQ test. He tried the swinger's lifestyle and it blew up in his face with a bad case of buyer's remorse. He could have salvaged his dignity by understanding that actor Michael Rapaport was getting him over. Instead, he physically attacks the actor when he showed up to do The Wrap Up Show. Very dumb action to take since Howard's security duo are Ron Artest and Ben Wallace. It took less than a day for Sirius/XM to shitcan him.

Howard played a part by promoting Brent's wife Katelyn as a sex goddess. To be perfectly frank, I wouldn't fuck her with Dartsy's dick.
