...seems those irrelevant coaches may have known what they were talking about after all.bigmoe69er said:...irrelevant coaches poll? You are grasping at straws, ole chap!

The coaches are not irrelevant...the COACHES POLL is irrelevant to the BCS standings. Missouri now deserves to be rated below Oklahoma. ...NO, Oklahoma's two losses to teams crushed by Missouri (Colorado and Texas Tech) means they ARE NOT #1 in the country. Ohio State had the advantage of waiting for Missouri to lose after they lost to Illinois (a team already beaten by Missouri) and beat lowly Michigan. Ohio State DOES NOT deserve to be in the BCS championship game!MLAM said:...seems those irrelevant coaches may have known what they were talking about after all.
Does this make OK the number 1 team since they beat the previous number one TWICE???
Side note...what a choke job by West Virgina...beat a 28 point underdog and you are a total lock....
Ohio State might have the right idea...just stop playing games....
Huh?bigmoe69er said:the COACHES POLL is irrelvant to the BCS standings.

Well I was right about LSU and I made that call a week ago!!! Too bad about WVU - but if you can't beat PITT at home then you get what you deserve. OHIOS. Oh How I Hate Ohio State.dj1470 said:If LSU beats Tennessee in the SEC championship they will be back at #1 on December 3. Too much hype in the SEC. SEC way too overrated by pollsters. Even with two losses LSU will most likely play WVU in the national championship. Missouri has played too many minnows this year and the pollsters as well as the BCS computer will punish them for that.
Careful what you wish for. I'm not sure alot of these teams could make an extended schedule and still have players on the field. My once vaunted Ducks played with an inordinant number of freshman on Saturday due to injuries, their quarterback a fifth stringer. Until this year I didn't know there was such a thing. I could see a playoff system involving the top eight teams, beyond that it would have to take away games from the regular season, and some of the drama. Classic matchups that used to define a team's season could lose their significance if just making the playoffs was all that mattered.DonQuixote said:A lot of teams probably feel that way, including Oklahoma.
We need a playoff format. This season proves the point.
You are making a partial quote of what I said and taking it out of context. PM me if you are really interested.dcbogey said:Huh?

So much for the Big Ten being on the Outs. Go BUCKS!!!!!DonQuixote said:Like it matters to Ohioans. Go Buckeyes.![]()
