Sure he does, Kraft is a major stake holder in PG and Gilette. He was the man who arranged the financing when George Gillette bought the Montreal Canadiens and Liverpool FC. He currently sits on the Board of Directors of PG.

OTB has the best answer. The Me Generation taught guys that they could have whatever they wanted without consequence. The result being divorce rates and single mothers skyrocketed. Later generations appear to have gotten away from that. I allowed my young doctor to vent recently. He's taking extra shifts at various clinics so that his wife can stay at home and raise their young children. I fully support his strategy, pre school children need their mothers during their formative years. Men take responsibility for their actions and look after their families. Guys are just guys...or worse.

As such I see no problem with the add, just as I saw no problem with the Colin Kaepernick add before it.

...Alphonso Davies has not been loaned out Bayern Munich.

Really. Don't see Kraft's name on the list of P&G Board of Directors
https://us.pg.com/structure-and-governance/board-of-directors-composition/

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that I'm 99% sure that Gillette did this marketing campaign without any input/approval/disapproval from Kraft.

So you need to ask yourself why YOU see assholes in that commercial
Because bullying is generally what assholes do, no?? Or at least one of the things they do.

Now let me ask you, if Gillette did a similar ad that depicts women as horrible drivers, and that they needed to improve their driving skills and cause less accidents. How well do you think that would go over?? The PC crowd would demand boycotts, CEO's be fired....etc...etc. A huge shitstorm would follow!!

Oh, and btw I have data to back that up: https://www.syracuse.com/news/index...ivers_more_crashes_than_men_less_driving.html

Like I said I'm not offended, I just find the double-standard highly amusing

Now you are comparing apples to oranges. I already said that they can do a commercial of bullying and fighting and harassment among women. There is enough to go around. Lots of women who feel that can touch others because sexual assault is only one way. There should be more messages denouncing that. How many strippers have to deal with women coming in to the club and getting harassed. Women fighting, there is tones of videos on the net. And lord knows there is tons of bullying each other. They could actually do a commercial about the exact same and I would be totally fine with it.

And I didn't see MEN bullying, I saw KIDS.

So again, why are YOU seeing assholes?

Thank-you. You proved my other point. Not only do you see what you want in the message of the ad but you admit the issue is what you feel is a man vrs woman thing. If the commercial didn't have anything related to sexual harassment most of you would not have a problem with the ad.

And while harassing a woman can be seen as an asshole thing, they showed not all guys are that way by showing the other guy calling it out. Which I'm sure we can all agree should be done more. Calling out negative behaviour. So I saw a guy standing up. That showed me a real man, that showed me masculine, confident and strong, standing up to someone else. That is hot. That is what I focused on.

So one more time, why do YOU only see "all men are assholes"?

I didnt say all men, I said men in general. See here: https://terb.cc/vbulletin/showthrea...and-boycotte&p=6315916&viewfull=1#post6315916

It then becomes a generalization, similar to women are horrible drivers, blacks are criminals, English have bad teeth......etc.....etc
You just showed me data on women being bad drivings. There is a semblance of truth in all of those. Sad as it is. Reality is what it is. So yes, some men are assholes and some stand up and denounce it.

Again, why is that wrong?

It became wrong when sexual harassment was brought into the commercial. THAT is the route of the issue. Which begs the question why so many hetro sexual men have issue with discussing sexual harassment and if they do it is always fighting the clear obvious issue at hand that a lot of men do this. Not all, not even majority I don't think but enough to say a lot.

Why do YOU personally take issue with that message if you are not a man who sexual harassed women?

I get you are not offended but you do take issue.

And to be clear, I'm not saying the commercial is right or wrong. I'm taking the opposite site of the debate. I'll be done with the dead horse beating in short time.

I just don't get why some of you have an issue with this commercial when none of you are assholes, unless of course you are looking into your own self and see something I do not.

Months ago, I liked the much shorter version which cut out so much of what you are seeing in the extended version. This newer version it arrived around Christmas time or so.

Nike is not hurting from ALL those angry men who vowed to burn and stop buying shoes due to the kapernick commercial.

This too shall pass.

I buy razors based on number of blades and cost.... no ad will change that.

People need to lighten up.

To get outraged we have to
A) put words in the companies mouth that many men are bad
B) ignore that this is an ad campaign designed to sell razors by increasing visibility

If a product is good value i really dont care who endorses ut or what messsge they send

Everyday we routinely ignore that the things we buy are often made with cheap labour. Be it electronics or even food harvested by migrant workers etc. Or we ignore thst we supoet companies that lobby government for benefits..... but we draw the line at commercials where we CHOOSE to be offended.

The message is be the best man you can be. Not many men are bad.

How do we know NIKE isnt hurting? Did they show you a spread sheet? Are you a share holder?

Sure NIKE is still being sold, but nobody knows the damage caused if any in terms of sales?

GM still sells cars but they just closed a plant. Are they going bankrupt? No. Will it help them? I dont know?

We as consumers never know if a company is failing. They wouldnt advertise it. It would just speed up the last nail in the coffin.

Hiding from bullies might be your technique, but I prefer calling them out on their behaviour.
Yup....till someone puts a gun in your face.

NOT WORTH IT!!

Im all for defending someone at the right moment but sometimes you need to let nature take its course or it will be you inheriting the problem.

Not that I'm offended by the ad, but this Gillette ad is assuming men in general are assholes, which of course isnt true.
What if we reversed it and did a similar ad on black guys telling them to stop being criminals and be better fathers??
Or what if they did an ad on Asians or women and told them to be better drivers. The outrage would be massive.

So do you not see the double standard in all this??
We'll have to ask you what you define a criminal to be. Donald Trump perhaps? What kind of father is he, talking about his own daughter in that manner. Funny how you jump to blacks being criminals showing your ignorance to how certain people are criminalised for spite.

Yeah, but "let's reverse it"

Nike is doing quite fine in Canada. Stores are always packed. Do they have any stores in the KKK areas?

Phil did the commercial state how many men act this way?
This is coming from the guy who gets instantly offended every time we talk about muslim terrorism.
You right away assume we mean all muslims.

Do you remember how upset you got when I referred to terrorists as "muzzies"

Did the commercial state how many men act this way?

I dont take issue with the ad per se, just the double standard

What double standard? It is an ad, you think they can put everything you want it in? I showed you a commercial from Gillette that is showcases parenting and black men, one of the double standards you brought up and you don't acknowledge it because why???? Because it doesn't fit your personal narrative.

There is no double standard, only your assumption of one. Again, you need to look to you as to why you choose to see what you do in this commercial and refuse to see what is blatantly obvious in another ad while assuming other ads that have not been made(maybe yet) would not be accepted in the same way.

This is a mirror event, not a bitch at a commercial that forces you to think event.

Anyway dead horse beat. I'm done
