Driver's license too, eh. I use to cross the American border with my driver's license. What will American border guards think of an "X" for sex?

Your licence is NEVER used by paramedics to determine treatment. The only time it will be looked at is if you die they will check to see whether you are an organ donor.

Paramedics will not waste precious time searching your pockets or flipping through your wallet. They will get you stabilized and then transport you to hospital.

Better yet, what's going to happen when an "X" is convicted of a crime and is sentenced to prison? If it's a man who identifies themselves as a women can they demand to be sent to a women's prison?

I feel bad for police. Imagine a call going out "be on the lookout for an "X" whose race we cannot reveal. They are armed and dangerous but may be mentally unstable so if you shoot first you're fucked. Good luck".

My POV is no. It should list the gender you biologically are. In other words, if you have a Y chromosome, you're male, else you're female. This isn't a conspiracy to deprive people of their perception of themselves. It's a physical identifier, similar to height, weight, eye colour, hair colour, etc.

Many transgender people have messed up chromosomes. If XY = men, and XX=female, then a whole subset of the population exists that are neither male nor female.

Similarly, exterior genitalia do not always match what the chromosomes say. Many doctor's have been confused on that point. If you have XXY chromosomes, then what gender are you? Usually a little bit of both.
