Al Stewart's voice sounds just as good live as on the studio records, not many singers can pull this off, Freddy Mercury, Karen Carpenter and Paul Heaton are in this category.

In contrast, Kat Perry sounds awful live.​

The best live voices I have heard are Sade and Maxwell. I know not related to 70's...
