The whole point was in responce to Larue's assertion that it is more efficient for people to spend their own money than to have government do it more efficiently. Of course for reasons of economies of scale and fairness gov't is much more efficient. .
Sorry, but your commie theories just do not do work in real life.
This garbage strike is a perfect example.
The government has allowed itself to become involved with a group of unions who do not work, yet cost us millions.
The tax bills still keep coming, but the trash remains uncollected.
When they are not on strike government employees are over-paid and under worked
Recall the story of the Quebec postman who had hundreds of undelivered mail bags in his home,
He was just too lazy to do his job.
That would never happen in the private sector. A union environment breeds such abuse
How about the gun registry?
The sponsor-ship scandal?
And thats efficient?
They have allowed delusional self-serving nut-job commies like you to influence policy and better one group at the expense of
all others.
As for health care, I will warn you now, the cost pressures in this sector are soon going to break our Canadian system down.
We are already seeing governments struggle with the costs, the quality of service decline and an ever increasing number of services with a user pay addition.
Since you hold health care in such high regard, would it not make more sense to allocate more of our tax-dollars to that sector, rather than to garbage collectors?
In your world you say both should get more.
This is where you are absolutely wrong.
You can not incrementally increase taxes forever.
There is a point where excess taxation retards economic growth and job creation.
Especially if you tax the rich
