I don't normally agree but yes, she's being a whiney entitled brat. How many of us worked in worse jobs than her starting out and sucked it up so we could climb the ladder thru hard work? Any future employer has the evidence of her behaviour of what she does when she feels slighted, right there on YouTube.

Good thing she quit, now her job can go to someone that cares more and could use it.

Oh stop being old-fashioned. She referred to her former employer as an awesome company. She didn't offend her boss. She had an irreconcilable difference with her boss, perhaps of a creative nature in her line of work. In the industry that she's in, her way of expressing herself in leaving her job might win her some points.


I give credit to anyone who can quit their job but only if they have found or can find a new one, or start their own business (as opposed to always quitting and not being able to hold a job).

In this day and age, staying at one place for so long doesn't look as impressive on a resume I'm told since it means your experience is narrow (unless a company grows).

So her boss only cares about page views thus only caring about bringing in income for the company. If this is the big complaint then she may be surprised that this is the goal of most bosses. The interpersonal skills of bosses mary vary but ultimately that is the goal for most bosses as they want to keep their jobs. She says the company is awesome but doesn't understand the company has the same goal as her boss. She wants to focus on the content but she doesn't realize her news stories are just there to generate revenue not to do journalism. Most news organizations are in the same game creating entertainment for people. If the story will get ratings they go with it.
Other employers may look at this with humour but they also see an employee that doesn't understand the primary goals of the company. Had her boss been abusive to her or had she quit because of bad treatment that would not be acceptable in a workplace, then that would be understandable. I understand that her boss has agreed to pay her for the month of Oct after she quit so I guess the boss has turned this viral video into a good PR story for the company. The boss should post a funny response video with the companies name included to get more free PR.
