If you can download for free, why are you renting?
Everything else you just said is babble...
Ted Rogers isn't worth billions because he was "nice" and "thoughtful" of his customers. It's a business.
Right, but he's also charging an arm and a leg for those iPods that work GREAT with iTunes. Song sales at $1.00 a song add up to millions.
iPods are damn expensive.
Being that I used to work at Hell Sympatico's/Mobility's head office, knowing their prices and how they work. I can tell you right now, you're getting fucked by them without question.
So don't lull yourself into this false sense of security.
This is all business, not charity.
You've made my point inadvertently: This is a business, not a charity. Exactly my point. Ain't about "morality" or "rules" or me being an "asshole"--it's about the marketplace and I'm getting a better deal elsewhere, and right behind me is the Internet, where there's a galloping stampede who say "fuck you" to paying altogether, and my point once again is that Rogers better change its business model and stop milking every dime out of customers or it will find itself with the very same problem that the music biz is faced with, which is a reverse ass raping.
Having spend a fair bit of time in the music business, I can tell you on some authority that I watched as record labels nickel and dimed consumers, continued to put all the coke up their nose, and then along came the Internet and people said "Why the fuck am I paying $15-$18 for a fucking CD AND in every format?" and guess what? The music business was on its knees, and the movie business is next people. And the late fee is the elephant in the room that will be the death of Rogers if they don't change.
AND MARK MY WORDS AS I SCREAM IN CAPS: ROGERS WILL ELIMINATE LATE FEES WITHIN SIX MONTHS OR I WILL TAKE IT UP THE ASS FROM LASSLICKER, LOL
Thread closed for me. I've made my point. Some get it, some don't. Baaaah
