So it doesn't matter which government they're protesting? What are they actually protesting then?
Tamara Lich, the organizer of this protest, seems to have no direct ties to the trucking industry, does have a history of associating with far right separatist groups from Alberta.

Wonder how much is going to that cause?

Hundreds or thousands of transport trucks rolling coal across the country AND they expect my sympathy? 🙄

67% of Canadians want additional restrictions for the unvaccinated, according to an Ipsos poll that came out today.

At this point even O’Toole doesn’t appear ready to really throw his name behind these people.

I’m not saying their support won’t grow, but I do wonder if it will ever grow to a point of popularity beyond the fringe.

I suspect this one will work out about as well as it did for the truckers that participated in the carbon tax protest convoys.

Who's "forcing" a vaccine on them? It's a job requirement. Don't like the rules, get another job. They're idiots if they think this is going to make even the slightest difference. Let's revisit this in a month to see if the supply chain imploded because of a few crybaby truckers.

Besides, if all non-American truck drivers need to be fully vaccinated to enter the US and the new law states that all truckers who cross the border from the U.S. into Canada must be vaccinated to avoid testing requirements and a 14-day quarantine, isn't it a moot point?

I mean, if they can't get into the US without being fully vaxxed how does a new law saying they must be fully vaxxed to get back in to Canada even apply to them? I think the real suckers here are the ones who donated to the GoGundMe fundraiser. lol
It doesn`t make sense.
If they can`t enter the US, they are simply protesting for the sake of protesting.

I'll take the freedom from mandates for forced medical experiments yes.........

Comparing wearing seatbelts to getting injected on a quarterly basis with material with no long term safety efficacy eh?....LOL.
I'll use worldwide statistical research. A billion doses with very few side effects. Hospitals filled with unvaccinated. Draw your own conclusions, and if you want to roll the dice on your health, you're welcome to.

But oh, if society chooses to shun you, that's on you.

That's easy, follow the money.

GoFundMe is holding the donations until organizers can provide a clear plan of how it will be spent, including any remaining money.

In one video, Lich encouraged supporters to keep donating to the GoFundMe drive and suggested they could send donations by email direct deposit. She provided an email address that directs donations to a bank account that lists the name "Tamara Lee Lich" as the recipient.

What's really funny is they think they're going to get sympathy from the public. When some 90% of people are vaccinated, you don't have a lot of people on your side to begin with. And then they're threatening to interfere with the supply chain of food and other essential items? Just makes them look stupid.

I heard on the news this morning that they have 47,000 donors worldwide. That's a paltry fraction meaning that they're not getting the support in Canada that they claim and that $4 million in donations are largely from groups rather than individual Canadians who support their cause.

Gofundme is now up to
$4,667,690 !!
Call me suspicious, but I do wonder based-on these numbers if it’s not the truckers participating in the protest donating to their own GoFundMe, hoping to be able to draw from that same fund for reimbursement.

GoFundMe holding onto the funds makes perfect sense. I’m not sure anyone could possibly be surprised that a group that waited until after the mandate was in-effect to fight wasn’t organized enough for a payout from their own GoFundMe.

I feel like some are mixing up the support for easing of restrictions with support for easing of restrictions against the unvaccinated.

There's not much support. The protests can make an impressive news cast item because a few thousand people show in 1 place; but it's a ludicrously small fraction of the general public.
