are you sure about that???And Americans got to pay for health care which is a "cost" for sustaining themselves, whereas we Canadians don't have to treat health care as a "cost".
as time passes and more take advantange of our Health Care it won't be long till we are in the same boat as the U.S . Many of our RN's and Dr's have and are heading south of the border.
problem here is to many people abuse our system. for instance many people have no idea of the healthcare system and how it works.they stub their toe and run to emergency not realizing it costs 10 times more to process them through emergency rather than stopping into a walk in clinic first for an assesment.
emergency is for emergencies,not for people who have a cold and can't sleep or have a headache.
many services are now not covered by OHIP,and you can expect the list to grow.If you ever get terribly ill you better make sure your wallet is fat !
free healthcare is soon to be something of the past!
