You are responsible for your own health and you can`t and should not expect others to care about your health.
The law in this case is not something to be trusted , there are tons of people out there that are HIV positive and they don`t know theyr status.
What if you get infected by them who are you going to blame then?
If the law considers this HIV positive people to be a threat to society to the point of charging them for murder in some circumstances, then theyr status should be made available for all to see.
When you go get an HIV test and they find you to be HIV positive do they also give you a psychological evaluation to make sure you are fit to deal with this problem and you are not going to run out there killing everybody?
No they don`t.
If you think the law is going to protect you when it comes to HIV then my friend you are the ingorant one here.
I would actually love to see how many people have been charged for murder for spreading HIV.
Like i sayd before and a million times is that HIV is a virus from wich you can easily protect your self from, by using a simple latex condom. That`s how easy it is.
If you have sex with a perfect stranger without a condom and you get infected you are the idiot.
Can the law punish the person that infected you ? Sure. Does it make any better? Nope
How do i know now that since you have been infected this way, you are not a dangerous person your self and out of hate and revenge you might go out and do the same thing to someone else?
At this point why dont we just take all the HIV positive people out there and put them in jail , since there are retards out there that are not capable of taking care of theyr own health and like to have sex with strangers without a condom?
Would this law make you sleep better at night?
So at the end of the day knowing the person status or not does not matter , it is your responsability to protect you self.
A simple test also will not matter much example:

I can go tomorrow and get tested for HIV and it comes back negative , great. That same night i go out have unprotected sex and pick up the virus.
Now keep in mind that during seroconversion it is actually the moment in wich a person is highly contagious.
Now i meet a nice girl i show her my HIV- negative test results have sex with her and infect her.
She can even ask me to be tested but since only 2 weeks have past my test will be negative.
Who do we blame now?

The only way the law could responsibly protect people would be to make every HIV + person theyr status available for all to see, like that is actually ever gona happen.
If i carry a gun with me im gona get arrested and spend lot of time in jail and i doesnt matter if i killed soembody or not , just for having it i will go to jail.
With HIV they just wait untill the damage is done and you are infected then they press charges lol, is that law protecting your dam ass? NOPE
Thi is the equivalent of the law allowing me to carry a gun and trusting me in not killing anybody with it.
Makes a lot of sense and if this is the law i laugh at it.
So you can sit there all day and say that im ignorant when it comes to the law but i actually think you lack in the logic department.

In the heath care field they have a term "universal precautions"
The skinny on this is that HIV positive patient's privacy is more important that the possible risk to those treating them.
HIV status is confidential.
Non hobbiest health care workers are not warned or cautioned when an infected patient needs care. Universal precautions dictate that one must assume that ALL patients are HIV positive and as a heath care worker you must assume them to be.
Now I'm not saying that we should tatoo "HIV" on the forehead of victims but, as overworked as they are, nurses and doctors deserve a heads up.
As hobbiests, however we CHOOSE to be part of a high risk group and should always practice "universal precautions". Life is great but don't fuck it up for a moments pleasure. Play safe.

This is one big point why established indies and agencies are the way to go when hobbying.
I am not aware of many agencies that require a regular HIV check and last time I looked into it the disease had no preference over your employment status.

The boyfriend in this case had UNPROTECTED sex with her. Presumably her clients were all covered and therefore reasonably safe.

This is why you never have unprotected sex with anyone unless you have gone for an HIV test together, no matter how much you may think you trust them--as this poor guy found out.

To answer the OP's question: No. Almost all SP's have only protected sex with their customers and since condoms do work there is very little possibility of an outbreak.

The few rare SP's and clients out there who engage in bareback full service are a ticking time bomb, essentially people who are waiting for natural selection to take them out of the evolutionary picture.

I do feel with the obvious nature of this type of work, precautions should be taken...
I disagree. If there were an agency that advertised that it had tested all of its SP's for HIV then those women would come under INCREDIBLE pressure to have unprotected sex with customers, and some of those customers would come along with HIV negative tests of their own.

That would put these women at considerable risk, not only of HIV, but of a variety of less scary but nevertheless painful and traumatic STD's as well.

The reality is that there is no problem to solve here. There are no cases of SP's spreading HIV to their customes for the simple reason that condoms are universally used. You are right that precautions should be taken--every SP and every client should use a condom every time.

With that precaution in place I do not see the added value of agencies requiring HIV tests, but I do see risks to that.

The law does not pro-actively protect you from catching HIV from someone who spreads it to unknowing partners and as a result everyone should use a condom every time.

However the law does act as a substantial deterrent to HIV positive people who fail to tell their partners about their disease: The criminal charges arising are nothing to sneeze at. An HIV positive SP who had sex with only one or two cliens a day for only a month would wind up facing up to 60 counts of assault and/or attempted murder.

It is possible to live quite a long time with HIV these days, but that SP would be living out those years behind bars.

yup,,,same old ones george...

have "safer" sex using condoms! point blank! no if's, and's or but's about it.

you are at risk with a condom, without a condom, with any person, any one at any time, anywhere!

I just feel bad for all the girls who do this for a living...greed and laziness chosen over the value of your own life...

and for the guys who do this, I am glad I smartened up and stopped this stuff....but its stilll sooooooo funny to read about it, lol

MY POINT IS THIS:
if you had a job to go to everyday, that presented a chance of 50% you would die any day, would you still go there the next?

meshminder...
doctor says staying outside too long in the sun will kill you (skin cancer)...
doctor says staying outside in the freezing cold will kill you...
doctor says Viagara and too much sex will cause heart attack...
doctor says smoking will kill you...
doctor says eating McDonalds will kill you...
doctor says swimming in chlorine will kill you
doctor says drugs will kill you...
Driving on the highway can kill you... better chance to die on highway than to catch a disease with a condom...
Meshminder says having sex with a condom will kill you...

Sounds good Meshminder... i'll take your advice as well as the doctors advice and lock myself in the house and not watch TV because i'm sure before you know it, the doctor will soon say the TV will kill you or at least make you blind...

lol...

if your question is suggesting that there is a 50% chance to die by using condoms i think you need to do a little more research...

Good luck!!!

good luck to you and your bank account.

P.S when you learn to read, the 50-50 comment was suggesting you never know who you sleep with...50-50 chance you can get aids...dont have it or have it! simple as that.
