Liberals and NDP are pushing for boosters for one to be considered fully vaccinated.
Only 35% have gotten a booster.
This could hurt them a lot.

The current Ontario polls (week of Jan. 17 to 21) are all over the map.

- Innovative Research has the Liberals in the lead.
- Abacus and Ekos have the PCs leading.
- Angus Reid has the NDP leading.

I wouldn't bet anything yet. 🙂

What an election it will be. Everything that Ford did wrong, the other parties wanted to do MORE wrong!

Who will those against a vax mandate vote for?
Will Doug’s daughter spoil her ballot, vote for an extreme fringe wacko or stay home?

I'm presuming some will stay home(they probably do now anyway) or vote fringe, or suck it up and vite for him anyway.

Considering the vax rate I don't think they will be a factor. Those types don't vote.

The stupidity of this as it takes time and many aren't eligible yet. And the kids are just starting to get them. You wait until at least april for adults, and then continue with third doses for kids for September and school opens.

Too early for polls to matter. If we are open, cases down again, nice weather, people have a bit of money he gets in. Bryond that it's a crapshhot. But voters rarely change government in crisis.

It is 35% of those who are eligible now, not 35% of the population.

This percentage will go down as more become eligible and see less need.

As the eligibility was everyone over 18 right off the bat its not a surprise we are at 35% it takes time.

The overwhelming vast majority are choosing not to get the booster.
What part of this is so impossible for you to comprehend?

The appointments are backed up to February. So no thats not true. I have friends still waiting. Also there are minimum times between shots. Some haven't come up yet. Some delayed until the mandates came in.

The numbers are not final by a long shot.

It is very easy to get an appointment now.
So you don`t know the difference between the gross number of boosters and the percentage of eligible getting boosters.
If the percentage is going to significantly deviate, I think it will be going down, at least until there is a new variant/wave.

In any case, my point, which obviously went over your head, was that the Liberal and NDP position on requiring boosters for being considered fully vaccinated will not be popular to the majority of people.

Actually I agreed with you on that point. But that has to do with getting access to the booster. Kids as an example are just getting to second dose. Demanding 3rd dose to go into public spaces at this point will cause a severe backlash. Once we surpass 50 then it will be politically viable to start talking about it. Hit 75 and a mandate can come in.
