But the Liberals and NDP would have been even worse as seen in this quote from an article below.

“Thousands of people are testing positive for COVID-19 every week. Hospitals are on the brink of becoming overwhelmed, and health care workers are burned out and run off their feet. Seniors are dying in long-term care homes, again,” said Horwath. “What, exactly, does Mr. Ford need to see to take action in hotspots, like a circuit breaker, so we can stop the spread of COVID-19?”

In recent weeks, Ford’s been moving in the opposite direction, opening things up by using a ‘red zone’ category which relaxes public health protections compared to the stronger Stage 2 restrictions.

“By relaxing public health restrictions too fast, Mr. Ford is gambling with people’s lives — all because he doesn’t want to fund public health protections and temporary shutdowns.”

So once again, the best of a bad lot. The NDP might have us still locked down.
Didn't Alberta opened up too soon and had to send COVID patients to Manitoba and Ontario for treatment?

Ford promised a lot to the working class. But when reality kicks in the majority 57% who did not show up at the polls will realize that their voices will never be heard by their own actions.
The Left obtained more than 50% of the votes. No doubt when Ford screws up the likes of Healthcare workers who are really upset as their wages etc have stagnated while they have worked tirelessly to help the Ontario patients through some very trying times, will then consider leaving the profession. We will see how Senior Homes etc. benefit after being shafted by the Ford Government. The one thing that Ford did right more recently was to agree to condemn the FreeDumb Convoy. Something that the right wingers were bawling their eyes out!!

But the biggest cry babies are suddenly ecstatic after being pissed off with the lockdowns, and prior to that seeing the Trudeau Government winning a third term in office. They then were pissed off with the NDP for supporting the Liberals.

He didn't.
Instead he went and hid in his cottage going 'snowmobiling' when the convoy was shutting down bridges.
Yes, he hid in the cottage and could have acted more concisely. That is DOFO's true colours that when push comes to shove only then does he act.

But he did condemn the FreeDumb Convoy:

Ford did declare a state of emergency to clear the bridge of the yahoo fringe twats and begged Justin to do the same. This was part of the reason he gained my vote. The entire time he was also dealing with a twat fringe child and her steroid-filled gorilla hubby who was sidelined as a cop because of his anti-vax fringe idealogy while injecting growth hormone. The pandemic wasn't easy for him with family and many in his base not believing in science yet he muddled through it the best he could.

No, they didn't speak. Mostly they didn't show up at the polls as there were no good options.

It was obvious that Ford was going to kick ass, so his supporters saw less urgent need to show up, unlike the supporters for the disastrous losers.

Usually, the lefties have huge turnouts on election day. The lefty parties even provide free transportation to the polling stations. Would love to see the turnout numbers in downtown Toronto, the last refuge of the NDP.

It was a horrible campaign by both.
It's time to make it so you can vote online anytime up until the elections. I went to two polling stations, I was there less than 5 minutes each time because hardly anyone was there lol.

17.8% of eligible voters marked an x for Dougie.
He won through apathy and the lack of a decent opponent.

What are the percentages for the losers?
It is all relative.

If anything, a disproportionately higher percentage of those who didn't vote saw no need for change and saw Ford cruising.
Obviously those who wanted Ford to lose would make more effort to vote.

This result was expected as the opposition candidates did not canvass too well and the majority of Canadians stayed away from the polls.
Actually it is better not to be part of a Government during this very high inflation and rising prices in all sectors. DOFO mentioned that he is going to be with the workers and make Ontario open for business. Interesting to see where Ontario will be going in the next four years. But hilarious that you Licking mentions us "crying" as the biggest cry babies were all you right wingers when Trudeau won a third term and Trump lost after his very first term. Yet we hear all this "rigged" election crap.....proof of who are the actual cry babies. ROTFLMAO!!
