50% of the Gaza population is children.
10% of them are permanently stunted through malnutrition as a result of Israel's 'blockade'.

You can't help but kill kids when you're shooting fish in a barrel like that.
Its not like they can leave or there's anywhere safe to go.
Israel is even bombing schools now.

New York Times has always been hawkish on Israel.

But the issue here is that even if you believe this to be true, it means you need to get rid of Bibi.
His best friend for staying in power is Hamas - he's never going to get rid of them.

Right on the money.
And really, Netanyahu threw gas on the fire with the Jerusalem evictions because he had just been told he wasn't going to form a government, which means he couldn't stop his corruption trials.
His opponent, Bennett was going to align with the Arab List, which would have been the first time they had any power, but after this a right wing party could never do that.
Which means Netanyahu is back in the driver's seat while Hamas gets the reputation as defenders of Al Aqsa and Jerusalem and the PA becomes even more irrelevant.

The difference this time is that global public opinion is turning against Israel in a big way.

Watching some of the interviews on BBC. Unbelievable. Netanyahu's statement that they will keep bombing until the Palestinians are quiet. Saying it all began because Hamas started firing rockets at them. Completely ignored the fact that Palestinians are being kicked out of their homes to make way for Jewish settlers. Now Israeli Arabs and Israeli Jews are fighting each other, where before, they lived side by side, as neighbors.
This is a war crime. Seems like Israel doesn't give a fuck. Enough already. Talk about rubbing salt into a wound. Incredibly stupid to exacerbate a situation that has gone beyond any chance of reconciliation. No hope for peace, ever. How can the world condone anything Israel does after this?

I stay out of talk about,The Unholy Land", the peace process was doomed when Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated. Death toll 9 Israelis, 119 Palestinians.

Netanyahu started this by blocking Muslim worshipers from entering the al -Aqsa Mosque during Ramadan. This added insult to injury by evicting Palestinians from their homes in East Jerusalem, for Jewish settlements. I've stayed out of the discussion since Jews have helped me to attain the lifestyle I currently enjoy over the years. Most recently with the car accident where I was represented by a Jewish/Armenian firm. However this shouldn't have happened, all because Ultra-Orthodox Jews want the return of Biblical Judea.

Btw, this dude is not Orthodox.

Every single one of my Jewish buddies disagree with Netanyahu's handling of this whole issue starting with how the police intervened in blocking the Palestinians for gatherings after their services. They did not do likewise with the Ultra-Orthodox Jews that were demonstrating to evict all The Palestinians from what they consider as their own land. These are the peaceful Palestinians that have lived in the midst of the Jews for generations. Now the Jews and Arabs citizens are clashing with one another on the streets and there are rockets going in one direction while bombers are going in the opposite directions with the number of deaths, injuries, and destruction of homes , businesses on the rise!!

It is a tragedy of biblical dimensions. I grew up in Denmark where we idolized Israel as a wonderful achievement for the Jewish people. We cheered for Moshe Dayan and the other israeli leaders.

Now there is only sadness and a sense of betrayal left.

Just read this, which is exactly what some of the right wingers like phil and jcpro have been 'calling for'.

Malak Mattar, a Palestinian artist based in Turkey who returned to Gaza City just before Ramadan told Al Jazeera she is not optimistic about the situation in the besieged enclave.

“I survived the war of 2008, 2012 and 2014. I could say and my family would say that what’s going on is much worse than the previous wars,” Mattar said.

“The bombings have not stopped. The target is on residential buildings that are in the city where I live. There have been other firings from gunboats… and also from the airplanes. My friends in the north (of Gaza) are forced to leave their homes. This reminds me of the Nakba in 1948. It’s a massacre and it makes me wonder if I will survive.

It would be better if he wasn’t in charge. Bibi support base is the far right, that is problematic factor for peace in the region.

I say don't believe the press releases from the IDF or Hamas.
For instance, the IDF said they destroyed 3 residential towers because they housed 'Hamas military facilities'.
But the Committee to Protect Journalists notes that those three towers housed 12 media outlets.
