In the film Gladiator they used a Belgian Malenois during the battle sequence, this was inaccurate. The actual dogs that were bred to join the legions have gone extinct but their descendants are still around. The mastiff breeds of which the Cane Corso (Roman Mastiff) is the closest relative. They were Ramsey's dogs in Game of Thrones.
I admit I’m too lazy so I don’t have one.
I love to play with friends’ mutts though.
I once sold an old bike to a woman who came with her dog. She gave me the leash so she could take the bike for a test ride. As she rode away the poor dog started crying. I comforted the dog by saying she's coming back. The dog was so happy when the woman came back.The woman told me the dog was a rescue.
