I hope DAZN keeps the Champions League and Premier League for as long as possible. I canceled my cable and am now just going with DAZN and Netflix for the next 3 years, which will save me close to $5000 over the 3 years.

Funny thing is they failed at cutting my cable so I still get a lot of channels including all the Sportsnet and TSN.

Juventus haven't given up on attempting to sign Christian Eriksen. Unless a blood money club makes a whopping offer, he'll be in black and white next summer...if not January.

Is this bloke any good?

Sometimes. Him and Phil Jones were supposed to recreate the Ferdinand / Vidic partnership but it never worked out for them.

It seems more and more Spurs players are having their heads turned in search of major trophies. They’ve been together for 5 years under Poch and never quite been able to land a major trophy. It seems like that team is coming to the end of their cycle.

Roberto Mancini showed some tough love to his young stars. He dropped both Moise Kean and Nocolo Zaniolo for partying and arriving at practice late. With Insigne out with injury, that could have been a problem. They played Armenia and play Finland tommorow, if Italy can't secure their berth with these teams then they don't deserve to go to the Euro.

Kean and Zaniolo are still teenagers, they'll do what teens do, but they have to show commitment. Mancini made the right decision.

The Azzurrini line up looks stronger than the Seniors, there's some real talent here.

Plizzari, Del Prato, Marchizza,Bastoni,Sala, Zaniolo, Carraro,Locatelli, Kean, Pinamonti, Scammacca

And the substitutes are not chopped liver. Tonalli, Tumminello and Frattesi.

The only players I don't know about are Marchizza, Sala and Carraro. Italy's defensive prowess has declined significantly in recent years.

Mauro Icardi broke the bro code, Inter didn't want him - it could be a mistake. He's still only 26, he'll probably turn his career around with PSG. Maybe Messi knew something which is why he was shipped off to Sampdoria in the first place. Then he blacklisted him from the Albiceleste. Argentina looked horrible in Russia, it may not have made a difference.

Alexis Sanchez returns to Italy, he should have never left.

Alexis Sanchez should have stayed at Arsenal. He was thriving there, but the Man United system never really suited his style of play.

Inter on top but Lukaku didn't look good, I can see why ManU unloaded him. He had two easy tappers but didn't get into position to take them, it wasn't like the Udinese defender could out muscle him. Candreva, who set up the first one, was heard to say "ce cazzo fai".

Naymar is a likeable dude, he and Icardi are going to get along swimmingly.

Hey Filippo, no comments from you on Holland's impressive victory in Hamburg?

We will now finish 1st in that group if we win our remaining games.

Germany were missing Sane and 2 other starters though, so it made things a bit easier. Germany are also in a rebuilding phase after 2014, so I wouldnt put money on them for upcoming Euro

Billion pounds Sterling Man City got humiliated by a team of "crumbs" such as Norwich. They lost 3-2. It was a case of Experience vs Energetic Youngsters.

Juve fucked up this summer, they will win neither the CL nor the Scudetto. Maurizio Sarri was the wrong man to become coach, Roma's Paolo Fonseca was a better fit. Selling Kean and Cancelo was a big mistake, kean looks out of place at Everton - watched the game against Bournemouth, terrible defense.

If you watch one game this year it should be Barcelona vs Inter Milan. What they were saying about Barella is true, the Neroazzurri's fast break is lethal.

He'll get his goals to pad some stats but when you need the key goals against top opposotion, he usually fails (Outside of PSG) He could never work in the Man United system with two left feet.

You're right, after Lukaku ate the second tapper from Sensi, the new "Atomic Ant" decided to do it himself. With a header that would have taken Lukaku less energy to take.

Btw ManU's offer to Cagliari was a joke. I don't get it Dave, they paid $100 million (latest conversion rate) for Harry McGuire but only $37.7 million for potentially the next Pirlo?

Napoli 2 Liverpool 0

It was the most exciting 80 minutes of scoreless football you may see this year, the Scousers and Scugnizzo went at each other. Liverpool are the hardest working club in Europe, they can easily defend their title. It came down to who would would make the first mistake, Mertens tried a nutmeg on Robertson, he got taken down - penalty. It was a contest between the world two best defenders, Koulibaly prevailed over Van Dijk. The Dutchman was pressured by Fabian, forcing him to make an errant back pass that Lliorente pounced upon and scored. Nice show of sportsmanship at the end, Mane and Di Lorenzo had been battling for 95 minutes, then they exchanged strips. This was Insigne's first match back after injury, he played an hour. The English were not aware of that, questioning why he was substituted for Zielinsky.

Unlike the Inter - Slavia match which was dull, DULL, DULL. Antonio Conte was clearly thinking about the weekends Milan Derby. He left Barella on the bench, Inter went down a goal. He came in and scored saving Inter from a "faccia di sciafi" (face slapping) from the press.

Again ManU wanted to buy Koulibaly, Napoli asked for $167 Million.

This is the first time I'm hearing about this. United are in for a couple of midfielders. Fernandez from Portugal and Maddison from Leicester City.
