I cant believe somebody siad Calgary. I avoid calgary like the plaig because of the reception I get every time i have to go there. Its one of the most barren and rude places ive ever been.
Well, I guess it is the way you treat them when you get there. I mean, if you tell the cab driver to 'take me to the fuckin' hotel' he'll take you to "the fuckin' hotel' and treat you the same.

Everytime I've been there (many times in fact) I'm always treated exceptionally friendly by total strangers.

Here's some examples of what I mean:
1) I was in a canadian tire parking lot and looking for a spot. As I was driving down a lane someone can out of the store, waved at me to follow them, and gave me their spot.....
2) I was at the Keg for dinner with a co-worker. The waitress was tres hot. We were talking to her about what we were doing in town and when she took away our plates, she came back and had her break with us.
3) In another parking lot I was approached by a woman a little older than me and she was asking about my rental car (pt cruiser). She was thinking about buying one and wanted to know what I thought (and no, she wasn't trying to pick me up).

I could go on about the clubs etc too but sorry, I don't agree with you. Calgarians and just about as friendly as the folks in Salt Lake City and there they stop you on the street to chit chat!

I was going to say Banff and Miami too but Banff has way too much pollution now and Miami has too many bad areas and too many wannabe rock stars.

I prefer Lackawanna. It's in the middle of it all. The beautiful beaches and the abandoned steel mills.

Totally agree. I was tempted to move there, until I spent some time in that 'group of buildings where people but grimly work'...to be considered a city, you've gotta have soul. Too bad, though.

Quebec City, Portland and Bend Oregon for that fun outdoorsy lifestyle.

Can't believe no one mentioned Quebec City. My other choice for Canada would be Vancouver. USA? For Papa's sake Barfalo, and maybe Raleigh NC.

I was sure you would have chosen Sudbury and Weed, California.

In Canada, i would say the following cities:

Montreal - by far the prettiest women

Halifax - nice looking city by the habour without the big city hang-ups

Vancouver - great scenery despite the high real-estate prices and overwelming Asian population

St.John's, Newfoundland - great people who can party!

Vancouver and Jacksonville, yeah I like the smaller cities that still have a touch of civilization to them.

I can't believe how many people voted for Buffalo as their favorite US city - I guess you never know what people think until you ask.

Papa - are you paying these Buffalo lovers to post?!

I am glad to see there are a lot of Boston lovers - great city!
