Any bully who wants to physically attack someone just because they are fat, thin, wear glasses, etc deserves to be repulsed by force IMHO. Good for fatty.

It didn't look like that first punch connected..not even close.....still if it's legit..good for him...i hate bullies
Might not have looked like it, but it sounded solid.

Good for the kid who defended himself.

The suspended both kids, the smaller one for 21 days and the larger one for 4 days, for fighting back. Smaller kid is 12 and the larger kid is 16, and the 16 year old is a target of bullies. Personally I side with teh larger kid, serves the small kid right for starting it. And I bet he may decide to take a swing at any other kid who ever starts bullying him.

I like this idea, someone starts to bully you, punch them.

Fat boy simply responded attact from slim boy. Suspending fat boy gives message that if someone is hurting you, don't protect yourself.

Fuji would say the skinny kid was just giving out some tough love...trying to help the big guy face his weight problem by humiliating him in front of everyone else. After all, it's fatty's fault, right? :)

I've literally seen this play out, but it wasn't an overweight student who struck back, just a very unpopular one. He broke his bully's nose and was suspended for three weeks despite witness accounts that he was only defending himself from the guy and his two cronies - those two also got suspended for three weeks after they beat the shit out of the poor kid after he got that one good shot off at their "leader". I never saw the kid again, I think he finished his schooling through correspondance.

Seriously awesome, yet at the same time frightening. He put down that punk hard. If the bully had landed on his head or had been piledrived...paralysis? Death?

I like that kid, took a couple of punches from the little brat, then bodyslamms him, then the brat's friend tries to stare him down, and he walks away.

That takes character.

If I was that kids parent though, there is no way I would let him be suspended.

Would have been cooler if he gave him a nice uppercut that sent the little guy flying off his feet and down for the count.

What is hilarious is the little kid thinking his punches stood any chance of inflicting harm.

Out being curious
The little punk is lucky thats all he got...the fat kid should've slammed him then jumped on his chest straight into a knee to the face...give him a gas pedal and leave..

Can't stand bullies..

burt-oh-my!

For what it is worth, I'll present a contrary point of view. I was the type of kid that could have been bullied in school, but wasn't because I got an education on how to avoid the whole scene, with my mouth and not with my fists.

I once had a guy twice my size pile on me and throw two punches, one in my arm and one in my abdomen that hurt a fair bit - but I did not fight back. Instead I said "Well, you've got me where you want me - finish me off." Though I was scared shitless that he would, just as I was taught he said "Aren't you going to fight back?" I calmly said "No". He said "You're no fun", and off he came.

Another time someone else said "I'm going to get you in the parking lot after school tomorrow." I simply said "Thanks for telling me when and where NOT to be. If you'd like to beat me up, let's make an appointment we can both keep" and I pulled out my appointment book. By next year, this guy and I were actually somewhat friendly.

Given my experience, I think the amount of time given to both suspensions speaks volumes for what the school thought about was actually in the right. My belief is that most bullying can be prevented without violence, and I think the older and bigger boy could have just walked away. The fact is the bully is acting like a coward - courage, humility and understanding will easily deflate the situation.

BORING!

Walking away teaches no lessons. That body-slam did. Fatty is a gentle giant - slow to anger, but when he blows, he blows.
