I thought that would have happened by now.
I would have thought so also, but I read on some F1 site that the investigation report will be ready on the weekend of the first race. Interesting timing.

From Peter Bayer, FIA Executive:

“Lewis Hamilton would not have been the winner even after appeal: Bayer
The FIA executive recently answered a burning question. Stewards rejected Mercedes’ request to investigate the matter after the Abu Dhabi GP. In the aftermath, the team opted not to formally appeal against the dismissal. However, Bayer explained that if Mercedes won the appeal, Verstappen would still have been the champion.

In a recent interview, Bayer shed light on this matter. He explained the fact that the judges would have nullified the result, instead of awarding Hamilton the win. And because Verstappen went into the final race with one extra win over Hamilton, he would still remain the drivers’ champion.”

If this is the case then Masi should not be canned.

About ten years ago, BBC Formula One television broadcasts has a 'Red Button' station simulcast for the live race, where viewers could program their own race by choosing to follow the onboard camera of any car in the race, with the option to change at any time. The Red Button broadcast had no commentary, only ambient track sounds, and the regular telecast appeared in a small picture-in-picture.

I acquired about thirty of these races from a private bit torrent site named thebox.bz, (later zxcv.bz), which ceased operations in August, 2014. All of the onboard races I have are from 2010 to midway through 2012. The BBC shared UK broadcast rights for F1 at that time with the pay-per-view Sky Sports Network; only BBC broadcasts had the Red Button station. The files linked below follow the onboard cameras chosen by the capper from thebox who made the digital video file.

I love these; they're like live video games:

2010 Brazilian Grand Prix:

2010 British Grand Prix:

2010 Canadian Grand Prix:

2010 Turkish Grand Prix:

2011 Belgian Grand Prix:

2011 Italian Grand Prix:

2011 Japanese Grand Prix:

These are large files, so the video preview can take up to a couple of minutes to load.

To download a copy, click the blue download button inside a blue ellipse, below the file information to go to page 2. On page 2, click the free download button, and wait 60 seconds until the clock reaches zero. At that point, the save file dialog box should pop up automatically -> enable the save file button, click save, then indicate the folder in which the file should be saved, click save, and your download will start. I upload only once; all download bandwidth comes from 4shared. You have a 3 GB download limit per calendar day.

Enjoy!

I truly hope this year brings some tough competition to the two top teams. Nothing beats good ole wheel to wheel racing by evenly matched teams!

Just checked race weekend hotel room rates. $600 per night seems to be the going rate.
About 5 years ago I paid $1,800 for 3 night in Montreal (I stayed Sunday night to chill - great call IMO - restaurants not busy - easy drive back to TO on Monday after a good nights sleep) with tickets.

The AM looks phat in the back. Wonder if that and that slats it meant to mislead
Wouldn't be surprised if it is meant to be misleading.
McLaren boss said some pieces were left off during the reveal to hide from competitors until official testing begins.
