Thinking Kimmy will retire, he will be replaced by Callum Ilot. He has links to Sauber, Ferrari etc. and he is their reserve driver.

Who liked the Sprint Race?

Hated it myself. Did nothing to shake up the order apart from Perez starting at the back of the grid. Not what I want to watch on a Sunday. I want the fastest cars at the sharp end.

Racing is now secondary, all about entertainment.

It SUCKED

It's clear Max hated it. He thinks pole should be based on pace over a single lap, and so do I.

Any opinions on today's first lap tangle between Max and Lewis?

I feel that if the situation was reversed Max would have received a much more severe penalty than what Lewis received.
I wanna here everyone else's thoughts.

Right about there.
Apparently the officials "reset" the cars, and it was mentioned on the broadcast.
If you watch the sequence of the wheel to wheel battle from the start of the race. Lewis had the faster car, Max was defending very well. However, at the Brooklands curve, Lewis is clearly ahead - on the outside - and gives Max the required car width... Max pulls ahead, then at Copse - Max is on the outside - and doesn't provide the same cushion, Max goes off, and the internet breaks because they made contact. Great wheel to wheel racing, and a great race. Lots of great performances. Hats off to Charles and Honey Badger for the best drives of the day. iMHO

The penalty was light. Lewis decided several races ago the next time he was in a wheel to wheel battle he was going to take Max out at all costs.
I have no doubt if Lewis backed off he would have passed a lap or two later when DRS was available. Merc's had more out right pace than Red Bull this weekend.

Lewis should have been given a 10 second stop and go penalty, not a 10 second penalty. Hit him with a 3 point penalty on his license.

What goes around comes around, Max will take out Lewis very soon.

Should make for an interesting season. They both have a history of being a little over aggressive. I.e. Hamilton on Albon last year - Max and Vettel, DannyRic, Alonso, et all. But in a cost capped year, how many chassis can you afford to write off? We shall see!

Both Bottas and Lewis had trouble passing even with DRS. Hot AF today in the UK. 50+ track temp...like racing in
Dubai just not at night.

Come on, Hamilton clash into Albon was a mistake. It wasn’t like he was racing him for anything.
Max did the same thing to LeClerc at Austria last year. He has a history of this!
