They're Christians for many reasons. Chiefly because they're recognized as non Jewish by the religious authorities in Judaism and because they follow teachings of Jesus(an act which makes one a Christian by definition). Dogmatically, they believe in the divinity of Jesus which excludes them from any form of Judaism and with extreme prejudice as Judaism is strictly monotheistic.
