It happens too often that I have to stand in front of the dumb ATM and punch in the dollar amount on the cheque. Yesterday, the ATM didn't even recognize a Canadian $5 bill. Wouldn't surprise me if these envelopeless ATM's actually provide slower and less efficient service in an average month than the oldies.I agree. I don't trust them. I know where the old type ones are in my neighborhood and use them.
Those little envelopes the Teller gives you are meant to stuff small amounts of cash discreetly in; and I then give those envelopes to my date prior to the commencement of services!I agree. They should still have the envelopes as an option. You can probably ask for a bunch of envelopes at the teller.
Try TD bank machines. They use envelopes, they read the cheque amount automatically and give a receipt with a photocopy of the deposited cheque. It happens too often that I have to stand in front of the dumb ATM and punch in the dollar amount on the cheque. Yeah i just use my phone to deposit cheques. However cheque's I do by photo deposit via the apps all banks have available now.
Yes, so anyone who does a lot of cash business (guess which industry) will still need to use an ATM or a live teller if they can find one.Yeah i just use my phone to deposit cheques.
CIBC has pulled Tellers out of 25% of its branches and made them "Advice Based"; the other Banks are following suit; Banks don't want to pay Tellers anymore; they want customers to perform the transactions using Self-Serve Options.Yes, so anyone who does a lot of cash business (guess which industry) will still need to use an ATM or a live teller if they can find one.
TD has been switching over to the envelope free machines for quite some time. You might find some of the machines with envelopes at the older branches though. The machine would not be able to accept envelopes if it is going to send you a check image automatically.Try TD bank machines. TD had coin counting machines for a few years in some of their branches, but pulled them after a lot of complaints that they didn't work properly.Only problem I run into is depositing coins. Have to use a nail file go jam them into the slot.
Yeah; that's because it was demonstrated the coin counting machines were consistently short-counting the customers.TD had coin counting machines for a few years in some of their branches, but pulled them after a lot of complaints that they didn't work properly.
