- 451 formation? are you kidding? you play to win, never to draw
- Beckham on the bench? unless he loses his legs, he should always start. His qualities which he brings to the England side are indispensible.
- I thought the Gerrard/Lampard experiment was over? WTF!!! They do not play well together in the midfield. So why are they starting together in this important qualifier?
Thank goodness my team Manchester United start back playing on the weekend. The England NT is a trainwreck. I'm thoroughly embarassed to support them at this moment.

While England has problems, no Terry & Rio couldn't have helped. They have massive goaltending issues. And their strike force is nothing to write home about. Michael Owen should never be recalled again to the national team. Ever since he went to Madrid, he's been hurt every other game it seems.
So that means...Portugal, Sweden, & Russia booked their places today for the summer....not sure who I want to support!
