Buying a diamond ring on line, nope. You can't hold touch feel it check it out to see if it actually fits the description. if somethngs not right just try and return it. Go to any number of good jewelers and comparison shop. The market is fierce and bargain s can be had. Read up first on what makes a good diamond and setting. My choice, Crawfords Custom Jewelers on Bloor and I do mean 'custom'. They'll start from scratch concept whatever you can dream up and work with you to get you what you want. they're not just fitting gem to mount and voila. Their custom designers and are very well priced. they're a single shop but are known all over the country, nuff said.If you are going for a diamond ring then you should really consider ordering online from http://www.bluenile.ca/
Same quality diamonds as a store such as People's, but you'll pay a lot less.
.... and if you were married for any length of time I hope you get it cleaned and keep it polished. Hopefully it's not a dated design . Then what do you tell her when she asks for a refit, expecting that the two loves of your life don't have the same size finger? Re-gifting an engagement ring, nice! I'm guessing you don't expect to get remarried.I took my ex-wife's ring back as part of the agreement. Screw her!
Then, I thought, okay, if I'm ever thinking about asking someone to marry me again. Look at those two rings and go see an escort!
If I do get married, well, I'll just say sweetheart I picked these rings out just for you! Screw her too. Save the money for my bachelor and divorce parties!
Good move even if you don't re-give it. Dimonds have significantly gone up in price and you can probably use it for a trade in at most jewlers. I bought my wife a diamond eternity ring about 12 years ago when I didn't have alot of money. I told my wife that I would upgrade the ring to bigger stones for her. I brought it in to my jewler and its trade in value was almost double what I had originally paid for it.I took my ex-wife's ring back as part of the agreement. Screw her!
We all figure that's about your style. I know it was a joke, or was it?Walmart!!!!
It's the opposite. The mounts are designed to deflect and concentrate the light passing through the facets up into your vantage point. The gem can actually look bigger to the naked eye in a mount designed to do just that.I find an unmounted diamond looks better before it is mounted in a ring. So I advise looking at diamond rings with the diamond already set so you can see if the sparkle you like is there.
Even better, synthetic moissanite, it's stronger and has a higher luste and sharper facets which make them actually better looking that diamonds. Two words....cubic zirconia...indistinguishable from natural diamond to the average citizen.
I agree, even fools lazy jewelers.Even better, synthetic moissanite, it's stronger and has a higher luste and sharper facets which make them actually better looking that diamonds.

I bet you bring home used flowers to your SO from business events. There are good deals to be had on ebay, but I would lurk and research for long time before bidding.
The engagement ring is a trinket that she will show off for about a month after you pop the question.
It won't fit during pregnancy, and after birth, she probably won't wear it for fear of scratching the baby.
The future missus may see things differently and making her happy is an important consideration.
Good luck.
