Doubt it. They picked 1988 because that was the first year tighter emission controls were started.wondering if come January 2012 ,will the date built for vehicles move to 1989 from 1988 for the drive clean program?
nope. unless they change the rules, 1988 is always going to need an emission test . 1988 has been for several years now...wondering if come January 2012 ,will the date built for vehicles move to 1989 from 1988 for the drive clean program?
They decided to concentrate on areas of high traffic concentration. Why is the test only needed in certain parts of Ontario, and not others?
unless your north of barrie.nope. unless they change the rules, 1988 is always going to need an emission test . 1988 has been for several years now...
It's not Ford's jurisdiction, its provincial legislation of which ford had no control overI thought Ford was going to scrap emissions testing? Didn't he scrap something along these lines or am I thinking of something else?
that would be "Unless you're north of Barrie"...unless your north of barrie.
Theres this liquid you can buy at Canadian Tire calle Guaranteed to Pass. You put it in your gas tank, fill it up, drive the tank off, refill the tank, and go get your test done.
Also, make sure your engine is hot. Take it for a spin, at ;least a 1/2 hour, to get the engine at normal operating temp.
Good luck!
Don't know about that stuff but as far as I know all diesel pick-up trucks after 7 years are required to have a test . Last time I had a test done on my diesel pick-up the paper showed all zero's . No results or amything and yet it passed .Anyone know if this has any effect on the engine? And do all diesels get exempt from emissions or certain years?
