Thinking of getting one. For more efficient and effective brushing. Considering the Oral B Pro 8000 Genius. Is it any good?

I have one of the Philips Sonicare brushes. Works great, my teeth have never felt so clean, but it’s messy. On the highest setting, the thing sprays toothpaste foam all over my bathroom. Always have to clean off the mirror after I brush.

lmao how do you brush your teeth!! I have one, no mess, just put the toothbrush in your mouth before you turn in on, and turn it off before you take it out. Brush with lips closed. Hope it helps.

as for the OP - I think the sonicare are better - had the oral bs but they kept breaking down after 2 or 3 years. Sonicare has kept going.

I usually do, but sometimes I forget and turn it on before it goes in my mouth, or I forget to turn it off before I open my mouth. I usually use it on the medium setting now, too.

Sonicare +1

I replace the heads every 6-12 months but I'm still using the same hand piece from 15 years ago. I actually bought a backup for when it eventually dies but it keeps going, and going, and going...

I had an Oral B before and now I have the Sonicare. My dental hygienist advised me not to use the former since it was too harsh. I like the Sonicare, it keeps my teeth clean, but I still use a regular tooth brush for my tongue.

Any of the brand name ones will be good. I've got Oral B. Not sure which model but they're all pretty much the same. These things work 10 better then a manual brush. I remember like 15 years ago when I got mine, my dentist recommended it telling me the manual brush just can't replicate what these do so I went out and got one. I can't even imagine going back to a manual. Even if I go away for a few days, using the manual drives me crazy. My teeth just don't feel as clean.

Here
Ive had 2 dentists tell me that an electric tooth brush isn't any better than a regular one it just costs more, especially the replacement brushes. I use a manual brush and have a water-pick

Another vote for Philips Sonicare. The battery charge lasts much longer than the Oral B one.

This is 2019 and you are still brushing your teeth manually. Please don't tell me you also clean your genitals manually as well instead of using an electric ball cleaner. Ok, I kid.

(I also brush manually and use a water pik.)

How about waterpik recommendations. Are they replacement for and better than dental floss?

Each company says theirs is better, I 've used the Oralb with no problems and sometimes get the brushes from china for next to nothing.

My hygienist says flossing is better, I had a water pick years ago and it made my gums bleed...you have to be very careful with the settings.
