How about waterpik recommendations. Are they replacement for and better than dental floss?
I have been flossing my teeth as long as I can remember. But one day, I noticed that I couldn't floss near my crown area as well as I thought. Fortunately, when I told my lovely ATF, she asked; " why don't you use a waterpik?". So, I picked one up at COSTCO, and I have never stopped using it since -- most of the time in combination with my regular dental floss.

I don’t like regular floss, so I get those disposable picks. The ones with floss on one end and a pick on the other. They work great. I’m a little OCD about having food in my teeth, it just bugs the hell out of me, so those things are perfect for me.

Exactly! I need a toothbrushing app? I want white teeth, not Blue tooth!

Also, I have found that the genuine Oral B replacement heads are worth the extra money over the Amazon and Walmart store brands.

I only ever got the oral B ones and wouldn't take a chance on others.

due to the thumbs up for Sonicare on this board I purchased Platinum from Canadian Tire today. First day using. It's going to take a while to get use to using electric after a lifetime of manual. Replacement heads are quite expensive though

By Monday you'll be used to it and wonder how you stayed with a manual so long.

My hygienist says flossing is better, I had a water pick years ago and it made my gums bleed...you have to be very careful with the settings.
Yes exactly. Some of these products can cause gum recession especially if not done properly and pressing too hard.

Here
I usually do, but sometimes I forget and turn it on before it goes in my mouth, or I forget to turn it off before I open my mouth. I usually use it on the medium setting now, too.
Please enlighten me as to how this happens... how you forget.

Do you also "forget" to sit down on the toilet before you take a crap? Or unzip before you piss?

Where's the best place to get replacement heads for Philips Sonicare? Shoppers? Pharma Plus? Amazon?

I gave my aunt an oral b back in the late 90’s. It ended up with me after her death. A couple of years it stopped working and I bought a obviously newer one. Turns out the charging stand was fucked. I’m very happy with it

Interesting. Could explain why the wide grips are flying off the shelf.
