Here's a question.........

What do you think would be worse - if Boston wins the World series or if they lose?

I figured either way the fans will go farkin bananas and riot. Should Boston PD have a show of force before the riots? Maybe bring out the National Guards . lol.

Makes you wonder what Toronto would do if the Leafs ever won the Cup?

They would have to call in the army!!!

I couldn't really figure out what to think when the question was asked - and - it wasn't answered on the show.

I figured it would actually be worse if they won.....but do you call out the police before the festivities begin? or after?

Before for sure. You have to be ready, not react to a situation that is well on its way to being outta control and taking too much time to get ready. Im not saying they initiate anything other than their presence but it'll definitely stop some hooligans from getting it started. Win or lose i feel something potentially dangerous is bound to happen. Sad but true. I was in the vancouver 94 riot unfortunately. It was really quite scarey

Imagine if Chicago was to get to the World Series - either team. Think it would be bad in Beantown?

The worst scenario would be if Boston went up 3-0 and then lost four straight. Ordinary people would go berserk.

Bostonians are used to losing. It's part of who they are. If anything, there may be less Bostonians.

Wouldn't say Bostonians are used to losing. Maybe Sox fans have a history of losing in big spots.

Patriots look pretty good to me and the Celtics have a pretty decent history.

However, as I'm sure you're aware a 21 year old college student was killed by a stray rubber bullet which Bostonians regret very much. They've learned their lesson and I expect nothing less than an honest and responsible celebration. Sigh. Tough to be a Yanks fan now I tell ya but I'll give the locals their due.
It wasn't a rubber bullet, it was a pepper-spy capsil or something like that that hit the girl in the eye. Of course, the reason it was being used was that cars were being tipped over and atleast one was set on fire and idiot college kids were climbing everything they could...

I hope not!!
I want to be young enough to see the Leafs win the cup so I can rampage through the streets of Toronto!!!

I remember when the Jays won the World Series!!
Went downtown and it was crazy!!!
Was also there when the Skydome got mobbed during the Jays Parade!!
And that was for baseball!!!
God only knows what will happen when the Leafs win!!

(Sorry MojoRisin, I had to open my bigmouth again!!!)

It's OK it seems so far so good anyway. The Leaf haters seem to be asleep anyway. They must be really bored this year not having the Leafs to be jealous of.

If the Sox win they'll be on the receiving end of two of the biggest choke jobs in recent baseball history - first the Yankees tanking a three game lead and then this, the best team in baseball over the 2004 season going into the toilet.
The Yankees didn't really "choke", well maybe A-Rod did. To choke means to play horribly or a crucial error. The Yankees and Cardinals simply got out hit and out pitched for 8 straight games!!!

Damn us Yanks fans are not gonna hear the end of this for a long time to come and then some.
Well, having gone to a good number of Red Sox-Yankees games over the years (both in Boston and NY) I'm just glad I'll no longer hear the chant of 19-18!
